New Danmaku thread!

Extra Stage Edition! Like the last thread, we are having this special edition, but now with only extra stages.

First game is Subterranean Animism.

Any character and weapon allowed.

Rules.
1. You can try all the time you want, just make sure to post your score on time.
2. No replays (the run must be played by you and at the moment).

Time limit will be determined by the number of entries.

It's not specifically scoring related, but since it's a gaming thread: is there any point in using ReimuB on SA? I like Suika and would like to play that, but seriously it just seems to suck at every angle. Is there a particular playing style or does it just suck?

Iit kinda bothers me to use ReimuB, the bullets seems to be extremly dense which is quite a turn off when talking about killing rampages.

I don't know any other advatanges of ReimuB over ReimuA (since the damage they do it's almost the same) except for the auto-collection power.

Fuck you, Fujiyama Volcano. Fuckin bullshit card is easy if you remember when it's coming and get in the right spot at the beginning, otherwise it's nearly impossible. Would've had 2 lives left over if not for that fuckin card.

lol, beat my old high score by just 2M

died to Blue Oni, Red Oni; then everything went smoothly (actually captured Banquet of the 12 General Gods and Princess Tenko) until dying to Unilateral Contact, Chen, twice on Kokkuri-San's Contract (the second with like half a second left). Usually I fuck up a bunch early then capture Unilateral Contact and Chen, oh well.

Just goes to show how memorization-based IN Extra is... got horribly raped by it, then beat PCB Extra in basically one run (not counting a couple restarts at the very very beginning)

The translation patches motivated me to trying beating MoF and SA with characters other than just ReimuA... after beating MoF with ReimuA to start, I then tried MarisaC and failed miserably and almost ragequit... then later beat it easily with ReimuB, ReimuC, and MarisaA.

I can't think of a good reason to use MarisaB in any game.
In EosD, MarisaA does the same thing, just better
in PCB MarisaA deals better damage and generates more cherry
in MoF she's bugged and does what ReimuB does, just worse
in SA she's interesting, but ReimuA is the only sensible choice there if you go for maximum performance.

The only thing she had for her in EosD and PCB was Master Spark, but why trade shot power for bomb power?

SA character choices are badly balanced and homing amulets were replaced by sort of wobbling towards the enemy spirit things that do crap damage. I normally use forward shot types so ReimuA suits me, but I still hope UFO has more viable choices. PCB did the best job in that regard.

When my hard drive crashed I lost my STB .dat with everything but extra unlocked, I miss playing that game but never had the heart to go through the weeks of clearing scenes it took to do it the first time ._.

One of remilias wound up taking me in the 4 digits I think. Theoretically one would say it should be easier to redo it now but half of the alter scenes I swear I only caught by luck or a fluke. Oh well, I'll have to go back and redo them all sometime I guess...

Uh, what? Marisa B's bomb is the worst in SA, by far - it needs to you to be right in the boss's face, it doesn't do excessive damage, it doesn't clear the screen of bullets... I believed for quite a while that there had to be some trick to it, because it couldn't be THAT useless.

But yes, I have to agree with some of the previous anons. I always play Marisa as well, because I dislike Reimu, and prefer the lasers. Beat Flandre with the Laser, beat Ran with the Laser, currently trying to beat Suwako with the Laser (and with*out* the bug). SA made me sad because of the lack of efficient penetrating-type lasers.

I don't visit /jp/ much these days because it was getting to a shitboard of just imagedumps that anyone could easily get from danbooru, gelbooru or pixiv.
