That interpretation makes no sense whatsoever. Sure, Archer does read only the results of his duplicates and doesn't have the same experiences that they do (which is why Archer will be forever cursed) but FSN can't be Archer reading his memories since he's kinda deader than dead halfway through most of the routes.

I consider Mind of Steel a bad end because it isn't what Shiro really wanted to do.
Sure, it's the right thing, and he'll become a powerful hero, but that's not the point. I think that 'becoming a hero who'll save everyone, at any price' is but a corruption of his dream.
He just wants to protect whoever is close to him without killing anyone. That's why he always doubts to kill even the most wicked of the villains.
