Why Japan?

What I mean is, why not Germany or France or China?

What makes Japan so special?

Japan has an entire genre catering to our age group appealing to what we want. But it's because out of the three japan has sexualized more things than the competition. Plus they're not weighed down by puritan interests. I'm talking about the anime and manga.

Stupid, fallatious question. Noone says we're not interested in those too, it's just this board (and 4chan in general) is a place created to talk about Japan specifically. You're probably an American unused to the fact that people have interests in foreign cultures at all. If you were an European and, you know, actually lived right next to other countries, you'd have no problems with the concept.
