Hey /up/, /v/irgin here. In the game SNES Yoshi's Island, when you get a 100 score, you get a flower on the number. This is something that teachers in Japan do when students get a perfect score. Does anyone know what this action or concept is called?

Seems like a pretty obscure thing for /v/ to know about and I didn't know who to ask, but I do know I saw somewhere that this is a thing that happens in Japan, especially with kids in elementary school

As far as I know, it's just called a hanamaru lit. "flower-circle"
