Has probably contributed the most to the series lore, started off fairly weak and doesn't really go anywhere most of the time since its more of a tie in to the mainline games. But eventually ends up probably the most satisfying series to read.

Its basically a direct sequel to the other two Fairies of Light series and is just SoL fun shooting the breeze with regular cameos.

-FS
Starts off strong but then falls off after a while and ends on a wet fart, decent overall though.

-GoU
It acts more as a fanbook that lets you get more familiar with some characters.

Went exactly as Yukari intended.
Hell, if Yukari wanted to, she could just break the barrier between purity and impurity or break whatever barrier shielded the Lunarians from solar radiation, among the many other ways she could rip them a new one. Yukari could have single-handedly wiped out their civilization, but she sent the Youkai to job at the Lunarians to 1: humble the Youkai and prove to them that being able to smash puny humans didn't make them invincible and 2: make the Lunarians so smugly confident in their superiority that they don't update their tactics or training for 400 years and get their shit pushed in by humans and fairies, to the point that they embarrassingly have to copy primitive human equipment and even then can't fathom how to properly use it.

Th Human Village is basically Japanese Deliverance, the only outsiders she's confirmed seeing are petty thieves, and Youkai are youkai, but she has a soft spot for fairies and children, like Kozuku and the Three Fairies of Light.

You try and befriend a bunch of illiterate troglodytes whose main experience you've had with them involved trying to turn into youkai, constantly breaking the rules she's sworn to uphold, murdering fairies over minor infractions, getting possessed by vengiful animal spirits because they're abusive, and refusing to donate from her and accusing her of colluding with youkai when she's saved their scurvy-ridden asses a dozen times.

She loves people when they aren't intentionally being pricks, like all those outsiders she's sent home, or Kosuzu (who for a while didn't even trust her due to the Human Village's rumors), or Hieda no Akyuu, or Rinnosuke... Maybe not Rinnosuke.

No she doesn't, she at best loves their money and faith but she couldn't give less of a shit about them or the Village otherwise. The only reason she knows about half the happenings that she does about the Village is because Marisa tells her or otherwise gets it out of some youkai that monitors it.

Who she actually cares about are youkai, fairies, and humans that might as well be youkai and are generally outcasts or eccentrics. She feels closer to them than actual humans, and it's understandable why that would be the case: Reimu is less human-like than most youkai.

I'm not even sure what this is supposed to mean, but that they're friendly with some youkai isn't too crazy considering youkai don't attack them and tend to be civil. In fact, despite this, as we see in PMiSS a lot of them are still extremely wary of youkai.

Skip Eastern and Little to begin with. Read a few chapters of Strange and Bright, and if you like it, read Eastern and Little. Eastern and Little Nature Deity has, let's say, "art that isn't for everyone", which is my diplomatic way of saying "it's usually a bunch of sketches that look like a mess". It's very short, but it could give you a bad impression and it's not as if it's essential. So, check Strange and Bright, if you dig it see what you missed in Eastern and Little (it's not BAD, just WEIRD), then yes read everything in order.

It's been said quite a few times that the Fairies manga are the best manga, which is because they are. While they're forwardly lighthearted and dumb, they actually expand lore, have character developments, and the "story" goes somewhere in like every "part" of the series. FS may have more intrigue, WaHH may have more overall, but Fairies is and always has been consistently good, whereas the other two have had hiccups and stumbles.
