Well, to be fair, I think I'm a whole lot stricter than most people when it comes to fictional pairings. Most of the time, the only romantic pairings I really acknowledge are ones that are completely set in stone and official. Even Reimu x Marisa seems really stupid to me just because of how I see their characters. Hell, even Remilia x Sakuya seems stupid because I don't see their relationship in being anything more than a superior x subordinate.

Even hetero pairing annoy me at times, just because in VNs and anime, the male character has the tendency to end up with a very, very annoying and overly emotional girl. I remember being slightly miffed every time Relena was shown in Gundam Wing.

I liked it when they did it in the first season of Gundam SEED. It gave Gundam SEED an original atmosphere. But when they did it in Code Geass, it just seemed forced.
