I dont understand why a hobbie should present such a problem for most parents. I watch Rozen Maiden with my parents all the time, but then I guess the fact I play football and go on bar crawls with my team and pick up girls (no, it's not impossible, it just requires a bit of effort on your part) compensates for it. Yeah, you just read that. Read it again. Sunk in? OH NOES TEH JOCK IZ IN OUR /jp/. Oh and while Im shattering sterotypes not all jocks are block headed morons. Im not the only one on my team who watches anime, and the Yoko Littner figurine we keep in our change room as an 'unofficial mascot' has inspired us to victory on more than one ocassion.

I guess what Im trying to get at is no hobbie should distance you from your family, unless to freely choose to let it.
