I'm afraid I just can't continue working on the Eurobeat Mix of the /jp/ theme song. Due to increasing demands of school, upcoming job and other obligations, the likelihood of producing a high-enough quality mix, or even an appropriate MIDI, in a decent amount of time (I.E, while there's still any interest) are next to nil.

If anyone else is willing to take the wheel and create a Eurobeat remix, I commend them for it. Certainly the composer himself has the possibility, and I would request such a mix if it were in my power to do so.

tl;dr: Real life is a bitch, especially to theme songs and remixes.

At least you tried, that's admirable on its own.
Can't help you, but upload what you've done so far.

H-hold the thought.

I just deleted a part of it, it's starting to be a bit more tolerable...

...fuck it, I can do this. I have nothing that needs doing for the rest of today (tomorrow I have an online test that I can just jack answers from the book). One last go before I give up the ghost, yeah? If it's really undoable I'll post about it tomorrow.

(And, my MIDI setup is really weird. Three different rack synths, 1-5 6-10 and 11. 1-5 correspond to traditional GM, 6-10 are for a more "techno-trance" module, and 11's on a more "earthy" synth. It'd be some work to get the GM-only MIDI, but if all else fails I'll get that up 'n running.)

Eurobeat sucks.

/jp/'s theme song is a a high pitched screech mixed with a random Iosys song, sped up, and sung by a slurring, tonedeaf neckbeard.

>> No.2149961

/jp/ needs a Eurobeat song from scratch, with about 50 DESIRES, 50 FIRES and a reference to us being ronery drivers.

Just ignore those who have no intelligent input.

OP here. I'm working by ear (gauging the chords, notes, etc), but I should be able to at least get the structure down-pat.

On the subject: The original song seems to jump straight into the verse, then the chorus, riff, verse chorus riff done. Eurobeat structure requires an intro, then a riff before the first verse.

Should I stick to the original's structure, or add in an intro for good measure?

You're making a remix. Just do whatever you think sounds natural.

I actually haven't heard /a/'s theme song or remix. Is it any good?

There is no /a/ theme song.

OP here.
Finished with the composition, beginning production.

It'll need guitar work like the original— in fact, the original guitars used may suffice, though I left space for an ABeatC–like solo over the chords of the synth riff. I could play that in (I have a way of getting a workable solo in on the mp3), just for reference, but ultimately it's up to whoever wrote the original.

This should be done pretty quick. What I'll do is upload the MIDI file (not adjusted for GM; whomever chooses to produce this better may need to rearrange a good bit), along with a mock-up mp3 of my work.

Sound good?
