Like it more than Forbidden Scrollery mostly because Kasen is a lot more interesting than Kozuzuzuzuzu. The art in Horny Hermit also actually got better over time and not worse like in Scrollery.

Best of canon mangas. The supporting cast makes it feel much less boring than FS. The last five chapters got me legitimately excited.

Probably the standard for what I think of when I think "Touhou Manga". Daily life of characters with a monster of the week problem that is typically solved by a guest character in a oneshot, or someone from a recently released game. One of the huge draws of Touhou is its cast and you typically got to see a wide range of characters in it. I wish Reimu wasn't so stupid in it but that's kind of what happens when its written from Kasen's viewpoint. I could have done without the "mystery" of Kasen being dragged out for literal years but whatever.

I like it, but the Fairies is my favorite manga.

Fantastic Suika too. But, the problem with Hitori is that he's fucking nuts. He's also already drawing his own original work so I don't see him getting anything true official beyond extra manga in SCoOW issues any time soon.

Assuming there is a next. ZUN seems to be wrapping things up for ongoing works and its likely for the reason of wanting to spend more time with his family (plus he's a busy man in general). Im sure we'll still get plenty of one off printworks in the future but im really not expecting a new manga. Of course, im assuming here that the fairies manga is also nearing its end, but seeing as how its ended 3 other times before its very possible that it will pick up again at some point if it does end.

It's not about Touhou ending. I never said that. Touhou is far from ending by the looks of it. Just because there are no more manga doesn't mean the series is over since ZUN is going to continue making games until he dies, and will likely still be putting out plenty of other printworks in the future (just no long term projects). Also I don't know how many people were actually saying Touhou was "going to end" around that time especially with WaHH and FS still going strong at that time. Of course, this time around FS is long finished, WaHH is guaranteed ending, and VFiS looks like its getting close to a climax as well. It's reasonable to assume ZUN is wrapping up the manga (at least for now) and we can make the reasonable assumption its so he can focus more on the personal aspects of his life.

Not really. We don't know how busy or not busy he is. He isn't always making games and always doing public appearances. Though I'm sure he does "a lot of work" for the mangas, he's "just" the writer--art takes longer than words. For the magazine, that seems actually a lot of work, but issues don't come out frequently.

He could be busy, he could have a normal amount of work hours, he could have less. We don't know, and can make no assumptions. We do know he loves manga, though, so he'll probably have another in circulation before long.
