What otome games feature dumb love interests? Like Ouran’s Tamaki. I’m looking for the kind that isn’t grating to read but has fun reactions and interactions with the FeMC/cast. I’m still learning Japanese so my knowledge is limited but Nayuta from Variable Barricade would be an example that overlaps with the wanko type.

I don't mind stat raisers but I'm thinking like, something like Crimson Empire where if you played as intended you had to grind through hundreds of boring moster battles that had seemingly nothing to do with the actual plot to get the ending for any character, and if you screw up even once the MC is assassinated or kills herself.

I can get that, but it's been like six installments already. I think it's overtaking Criminale at this point for most CDs and it's clearly over Wasurenagusa in audio series Suou has illustrated for. And their songs are becoming a bit more samey.

Just the mere sight of that orange-tinted shot of the protagonist's room upsets me, but I can't say I'm not looking forward to the new game, whenever that's coming out.
Speaking of gameplay, I really wish there were more Zero Escape-esque otome games with puzzles and shit. The only one I know of is that DS one where you're trapped in an abandoned school with a few classmates and a teacher but I haven't played much of it.

Does anyone know how to fix this? The game was working fine up until the other day and I have no clue why it stopped working.
Pic related is all I get when I run the exe now (audio still comes through though).
I can right click maximize from task manager and view it full screen but it's still impossible to play.
I've tried reinstalling. and yes I've tried "turning it off and on again(^:"

Do you guys like the whole gentle/kind guy secretly has some burning passion inside of him cliche? Not like secretly yandere or obssessive, but like they're usually chill but will occasionally show a big burst of possessiveness or jealousy, or manhandle the MC into a kiss in the height of passion or something. I've come to the conclusion that I can't stand it. What are your thoughts on Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk? I absolutely loved the beginning, but as the story continued I started liking it less and less. I was not a fan of the shift from warring factions in a mysterious town to uh oh we're all dead in purgatory, what now. I actually thought from the onset it was some sort of purgatory thing, but immediately wrote it off because I thought there were too many people present for that. Also I never played Black Butterfly so I didn't have that as a reference. I've only gotten one proper character end (Lavan's) along with a few bad ends and it was really weird.

Everything before the masquerade I'd give a 4/5. Great slice of life, loved the music and the characters except Lugus, who seemed to fall for Jed way too fast and they tried too hard to endear him to the player, especially Tee, Levi, and Jed. At first it felt overwhelming seeing how many short stories and interviews popped up on the maps in the early chapters, but as I got into the swing of things I couldn't wait to read them all. The art is great despite the weird diamond hair highlights. The amount and variety of the character portraits was a real pleasant surprise.
Everything after is mostly 2/5. Except for the game giving you the option to kill Olgar which I picked with no hesitation even if it was clearly wrong out of pure delight that they even let me.

I loved the bad ends too. It was a happy kind of surprise. My favorite was Naruomi and the choice where Akari invites you to his room I actually lost my shit.

Some harder games lately, Ego to Koukai was good (not really violent but hard), Pigeon Blood is really good and the CGs misrepresent how nasty it goes. Room No.9. had hot sex but really oversold the violence. I regret buying that.

I quit dankira, they INCREASED the requirements for this event when the last one already had more grind than popular girl rhythm games.

I wouldn't even mind if the event card gacha rate up was good, but it's pretty eh. 250+ songs over 8 days to get all copies of event cards is suffering without gacha bonus and you can't do it on natural stamina even if you're a neet that wakes up in the middle of night to clear stamina in mobage. Better just watch the story clips on YouTube if you like the boys.
