The whole series is pretty unfortunate for me. I love Touhou and fighting games but I'm autistic about both.
IaMP has a bevy of issues, most of which stem from it being the first.
SWR feels and controls way better in general but adds mechanics I don't like such as flight, weather and the deck customization.
Of course then Soku adds special move choices which I absolutely hate in general but adding it to the deck system makes it even worse.

I get the feeling you don't play this game competitively.

Card RNG can affect a match, but there's very few cases where it can heavily punish a player for being unlucky assuming they have a good deck. The only time it can truly be bad is if your character relies on an alt (Ex. Komachi taste of death) and you don't draw it early in the match, but if you really need it you'll put four of it in your deck.
