The weird part is that none of those are actually any worse than what goes in Gensokyo. They just still completely contradict actually established canon with reckless abandon.

They also just seem to make the characters way more unlikeable. Pretty much everybody is "in" on the system on at least some level. While Canon Gensokyo draws a pretty clear line between "victims" and "oppressive murders".
