So, Saber and Shirou make it to Avalon and now what? They're in the middle of fucking no where! I'm sure that would get boring real fast.

inb4 sex, even that would get boring after a hundred years.

>> No.2102442

They go to Valhalla of course. What else would warriors do?

>> No.2102441

Welcome to the "never-ending afterlife" issue. How boring is your heaven going to be?

>> No.2102452

Which is why I choose not to believe in such silly things.

>> No.2102458

It could be interpreted in the sense of Avalon being the final resting place of Arthur, where s/he sleeps until Britain needs him/her again. As such, both she and Shirou could merely be in a dreamworld. (utter speculation, haven't played Realta Nua, so I don't know the full details of the epilogue)

>>2102458
Well least that would make a bit more sense.

Saber waited for 1500 years alone.

Avalon probably exists outside of time, so no.

The idea is that you have a infinite amount of new stuff to do.

Avalon is the land of the fairies.

There's probably loads of stuff to do, they just met in a field.

>> No.2102537

Well, the whole concept of Last Episode is basically the culmination of miracles formed by enduring love.

For Saber to wait endlessly for an impossible meeting, and for Shirou to endure endlessly without compromise in his journey to be a hero.

The memories of Shirou that compels Saber to endure just as the memories of Saber that compels Shirou to persevere. Add that to the fact that Saber had Avalon with her when she died in Fate route as well as Shirou's body which Avalon lied so long he can skip all steps for creation...

How is that even possible? In heaven, only purity is allowed.

3/4 of all the interesting stuff I would like to do is against the law, and the rest I could conceivably do in my life time or certainly do with earth-born immortality.

>> No.2102546

>>2102539
The problem with heaven is that even if you got there, it'd be near empty.

>> No.2102629

Don't read too much into it.

Shirou, through his Fate route's unwavering and uncompromising dream, managed to be badass later in his life. Through his love and memories of Saber as well as Archer's one-time guidance, he managed to not make the same mistake Archer did despite going through harsh trials as well. His enduring journey as a hobo hero allows him to achieve a miracle of his dream of both becoming a hero as well as meeting Saber again.

It's beautiful, and that's all that's necessary.

Heaven is, per definition, a place of bliss.

It's doubtful that you'd have the same likes you had as human; but if you do, then they'd be available for you all the time. 'Purity' as the commonly used meaning, has nothing to do with it.

>> No.2102805

I don't know if the heaven itself will become boring,
maybe it has something that gives you eternal hapiness even when you got nothing to do. Or even if you do the same thing everyday, that will be fun, like the first time you did it.
"Boringness" goes against the rules of the place itself

"Eternal bliss" can be found with the correct application of choice drugs. Surely you don't contend that bliss is the sum purpose of a man's existence?

>> No.2102842

>>2102653
god damn, mix anything with makka na chikai and get instant win

>> No.2102900

>>2102832
The sum purpose of a man's existence is the pursuit of happiness. Bliss can be a synonymous of happiness in the correct context, so yeah.
Now then, drugs are an enhancer that let us 'feel' more anything. We find joy and happiness on small and everyday things but it never stops being an illusion that vanishes as soon as the effect ends.
Another way of finding bliss is living an honest and peaceful life, but the bliss also ends when something 'bad' happens.

The heaven of eternal bliss it's what it sounds like. Nothing but the temporary moment of bliss in life, but made continuous and eternal.
