It depends on what level you want to read, but even stuff like よつば is gonna take some time to read fluently / near fluently. The adult stuff is gonna take at least twice as long if not more. also, I recommend really knowing what you want; you don't wanna be x years in getting upset thinking "man I should've listened to more Japanese so I could watch anime fluently too."
