Just seeing what other people think. After having several hours of doing nothing other than contemplating Touhous, I still hold onto the idea that she may have researched healing magic for the sake of gathering knowledge, but she herself has little actual experience executing them.

I'm gonna say the same thing I said yesterday. She doesn't have to be as good as Eirin, just good enough to get by. She learned elemental magic from reading so much, therefore she should have come across some healing magic. I assume most (Touhou) magicians are like that.

I'm not trying to publish a book or anything, just saying how I see the characters.

I think it's very much believable for them to place a large amount of their interest and focus in a single school of magic. Well, Marisa, maybe not so much, but Patchouli and Alice, I could definitely see.

We were talking about how Sakuya's hair turned grey, and one of the theories was that while Sakuya was gravely injured in her fight with Remilia, Remilia took her to Patchouli, who managed to mess up a bit and turned her hair white.

>> No.2087051

>>2087047
It started in a Sakuya thread about how Sakuya has light-colored hair like several others in Touhou that are immortal, so there was some speculation that after Sakuya got seriously fucked up by Remilia that Patchy may have tried to heal her wounds, but unintentionally screwed up, thus making her hair white, which I didn't agree with.

Wow, we sure did come a long way from a Sakuya's-hair-color topic.

I guess we could just lay it down to rest and say that we have vastly differing perceptions of Patchouli, and just leave it at that. I don't think we're really trying to completely force our ideas on each other either, so it's more or less just a trade-off of different ideas between two Touhou guys.

>> No.2087063

Oh, so you mean Sakuya could have had some internal bleeding? Well, in that case, the 'Patchy screwed up' theory may still work, but I don't think there was even an agreement of how beat up Sakuya was.

I agree to a point. Getting so worked up about a nearly non-existent story is a bit ridiculous, especially when it's very likely that not even ZUN put this much thought into his stuff. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with you people.

However, admittedly, I have a shitton of fun reading your guys' ideas, and I highly prefer these sorts of topics over baseless, and often violent powerlevel topics, or constant Touhou jokes and porn. It's actually really fucking fun imagining and seeing these different scenarios play out in your head.

That's starting to get into the realm of how physically powerful you think Sakuya and Remilia are, during a point of time that didn't even officially occur.

If you guys do try to delve into that realm, please try to avoid forcing your ideas as canon, and please do not get too angry for no reason, as Touhou /jp/ers are wont to do.

If there's one thing about Touhou, it's that there's always at least one guy that has ideas that are really out there. I wouldn't be surprised if someone said that Sakuya's actually stronger than Remilia, and that she just willingly became a maid just because she likes doing maid stuff.

>It is not sure whether or not she is not using it consciously, but her ability to manipulate fate can make people just being around her have a lot of ups and downs in future, and just speaking to her even once could sometimes change the fates drastically.

Of course, the SDM always seemed to be a rather enigmatic bunch, and it's difficult to say if Remilia herself had a part in making her own entry in the records. With her character, I wouldn't put it past her.

Not the same guy your responding to either, but...

Most people in powerlevel topics are literally biting at each other's necks and putting forth fanon events as canonical evidence. In here, it's basically just two guys saying their different ideas about Patchouli, neither one getting too aggressive or anything. There's nothing wrong with making up ideas either. The doujin scene thrives off of it, and it's a nice exercise of imagination, even though people may disagree with it.

Shit, if people in /jp/ can post a bunch of Touhou nonsense and be generally accepted, I don't see why this topic is particularly bad.
