No one is "lonely forever," my pessimistic friends!

There are a number of options:

1. You may, at some point, decide you'd really like someone to talk to. You will go out and make a friend, get in touch with an old one, or strengthen your ties with your family.

2. You may, through a fascinating cocktail of cognitive processes, decide that you simply do not need any sort of meaningful friendships, that casual contact and acquaintances, even online, are enough. Some may even conclude that human contact of any sort is foolish, beneath them. I hope you do not do so, Anonymous, because that path leads to the third option.

3. Consumed by hopelessness, some may choose to end their own lies, confident that they would never be able to find happiness in this life. If you have any such thoughts, please, seek help.

However, as such people die far before their time, they weren't "lonely forever," in a sense.

No one lives their lives completely alone, desperately hoping for even a single friendship. It would simply be too sad to bear.
