jp i need some direction. What is the name(s) of the paint/bbs web app i see on alot of art sites. One i know kinda takes form of a paint blog. Is it something that can downloaded and installed on ones server?

If you want to set up a paint BBS, you're after oekaki. Even 4chan has an oekaki board.

Tegaki and paintchats are different though. Usually less sophisticated.
