Establish before the run if it's for survival (1cc), for capturing spellcards, for score, or whatever you want.

Basically, don't feel pressured to capture anything if you're just trying to 1cc Normal or Hard for the first time.

None in the first 3 stages. Lots in stage 4 (only if you shoot the kedama), some in stage 5 and six (but only if you don't shoot the enemies within 3 seconds after their appearance on screen)

I meant quick bullet clusters that shoot forward while expanding. Even if they slow down, I freak out and run into them. I also have problems with dodging backwards and sideways against circular patterns.

This can't be. The last time I played SA Normal, I cleared it with 8 lifes left. I have 3-5 lives left in MoF and about the same in PCB. I don't know about IN on Normal, but I can, with luck, 1cc it on Hard with (only) Youmu Solo on "standard live stock".

I too had problems at first, but that was in the demo.
I just trained the demo until I could clear it in Lunatic without losing a life.
Since the demo is much harder than the real game, the first 3 stages are kind of easy.
