I was sold on Yuyuko when she asked in PCB something along the lines of

"But I've killed lots of people for my amusement. Why couldn't I resurrect one for that same reason?"

Zun has been contradicting that line in some picture book or another (Zun has a habit of contradicting himself) but it fascinated me. I formed this mental image of a shamelessly hedonistic, self-centered dead monarch who literally couldn't understand why people thought dying was so horrible. One that would kill you for giggles and then think of you as a whiny crybaby if you're not okay with it. From her perspective, death is nothing to fear, it's just a garden full of cherry blossoms around palace of white jade.

Plus, it helps that both she and her attacks are fucking beautiful. Especially the last one.

Yuyuko is an example of model behavior for me. She's quite wizardly when you look in close. She knows everything that's going on before it even begins, though she doesn't care too much about it, choosing to spectate and enjoy herself more than actually do anything about it.

Yuyuko has seen the secret to existence, and knows it's hardly something to worry about. If anything, she is a "living" example of an old phrase; "Enjoy life, but be ready for death."

Where is this translation coming from? If its from the wiki, I like going there to lol at the bad translations. Half the time its like some kind of hilarious rewrite that translates all the kanji in the sentence and then makes up a dialogue around it.

And when they're not doing that, they're inserting excessively large words that totally changed the tone the character was speaking in.
