What do you think of anime games?

I love Doki Doki Reddit Simulator!

I have never found one that was enjoyable. Even if they're not objectively bad, I usually feel like I'm reading something that was made for a 14 year old. Actually, I've never enjoyed a VN. Not once.

You're reading translations though, right?

Oh, god. Not that one again lel. The only reason I started reading VNs at all in the first place was because /a/ told me the shitty anime I was watching were incomparably better in the original

Have you read Steins;Gate?

here's the real ranking of maturity of writing in japanese narrative media (excluding live-action)
manga > eroge > (original) anime > non-eroge/adv video games > light novels

Are you stupid? Do you want to die?

I haven't read one VN that didn't have h scenes. I'm not out looking for graphic and grotesque sexual content, either. I'm just looking for a good story

Translations does butcher a lot of the narratives.
If you don't bother to understand or still think they are immature then VN is simply not for you. I admit most of VNs' main audience are self-inserting chuunis and shallow virgins so don't expect them to even reach the quality of common literature.
