There's nothing to be proud of when you have watched nearly 1,000 anime and played over 10,000 video games like I have. But that's what happens when you become a NEET for 4 years.

However, it's still best to have this attitude, as it keeps away normal bros. /b/ and /a/ died when they lost this attitude; now /b/ is "legion" and /a/ is the Crunchyroll Imageboard.

Those are /jp/ normal friends with money. But they post picture of their loot for us, so it's fine! But to add to your earlier "why be proud of that" question: the innate elitism of /jp/ also tends to keep out the truly bad apples. It also attracts higher quality Anons.

For example: /a/ bros watch Toradora and Soul Eater. /jp/ bros? We watch Marimite S4 and Genji Monogatari while drinking tea and wearing monocles. I can say with confidence that the tastes of /jp/ are much better than the tastes of /a/, thus leading to a better board as a whole.

I'm sorry, but that just your perception on things. Those shows you mention aren't innately better, you just like them more. You're just perceiving yourself as something higher, for whatever reason. Anyway, the show cater to different tastes, not better or higher tastes, just different. I don't like Soul Eater, but for a shounen fan it may be a good show. So, I'm aware I'm getting myself into a very vulnerable position here, that's also one of the things about me.

The thing about me is that I never was too normal, ever since I was a child. My post far memories are those of my mother telling me two things. The first one was "good things happen to good people. everyone gets what they deserve". The second one was about love. She told me that somewhere out there there's a person who's meant for you and only you. As a child I really did get what she was talking about. I remember I used to look at the other kids whenever I went out, wondering if they might be the person for who was meant for me. I always lead my life by those two things my mother told me. it became my dream in life, to get to know that person and to live happily with him. Whenever things got though, that was the only thing I could think about.

As a child I suffered of abuse. That was the first problem which lead to what I am now. I don't really remember it, but I remember what became of me later. The terror for stupid things like darkness, the hallucinations, and the nightmares. I actually tried to kill myself as a child. In the end somehow I managed to keep on living, because I hold to the words my mom told me. I did wanted to make anyone cry, and I had to be strong, because if I was strong then someday I'd knew the person who'd love me the most and he'd make me happy.

So time went on. I made a friend, my first friend. He was the most important thing to me, so much that I thought me may be the person I was looking for. He died, and as a result I ended up unable to resist any longer. That year my condition turned for the worst. And I found myself at a hospital. I had an attack, my heart hurted a lot, later I had convultions, I couldn’t even move. I started to take a lot of medications, which finally calmed down the voices and screams I used to hear at night.

It was then when I knew a person who was there for me at the time. He is the greatest friend I’ve had in my whole life. My best friend. We’re too much alike, yet different in so many things. I love him the most. I really just want to help him be alright always. I need to be strong enough to support him. About a year ago I went and confessed to him. It wasn’t exactly easy, but he knew about my feelings and also wanted me to do it. He said he wanted me to confess to him because he knew I was unable to do that for my last crush who had passed away, and he didn’t wanted me to have to bear that anymore. So I told him, and nothing really happened. I didn’t got a rejection really, I just stated my feelings. We’re best friends as always, and I don’t really feel like giving up on him, I’m not that kind of person. I might have fallen a lot of times in my life, but I always got right back up. If I don’t make an effort then I can’t hope for things to go right. And I’m not a bad person, so things will go right for me.

And that’s it. I’m not emo or anything, I’m a positive person, although I admit I wasn’t one before, but I don’t think anyone could blame me for that. But I’m ok nowdays, I’m a strong person and I don’t get shot down by anything. And lol for the thread being on auto sage. And I guess fags are out already because of that. If anyone feels like talking to me, my new address is on the email field.
