A customer returned her because her screen was broken (common problem with this generation).
Apple wouldn't take her back, as her screen wasn't covered by the warranty.
She was going to be disposed of, even though she was still only months old.

I asked if I could take her home.
The other people working at the store thought I was funny to want her, broken as she was.
I didn't need a screen, she spoke to me through clicks and I counted them.
She sung faithfully for me for two and a half years.
She kept me company at work when I worked, at school when I was enrolled, and at home when I had chores to take care of.
She traveled with me to Japan, to Paris, to the East Coast of North America and down the West Coast.

Then one day, I left her with my father by accident.
He left her alone in his car, in an underground parkade.
Someone broke into the car and stole her.

I named my 4th gen video iPod Reimu. My XP partition is named Rei, Windows 7 is Tenshi, and my transfer between OS's is Yukari. Externals are Sora and Ringo.
