none of it has to be manually tweaked. the definition is ugly but it doesn't matter. you just glance at it to confirm if you got it right and then move on. if you're sentence mining then i can understand yomichan being a hassle i guess. even then it could still save you some effort.

Guys. If retarded millennials who still rely on fucking textbooks and outdated learning techniques from our schools which haven't been modernized in over 100 years can learn Japanese, then people like us who use powerful tools like Anki, Yomichan, Animelon etc. should be able to beat them easily. There's no excuse for you to not become fluent. AJATT is not necessary to become a good speaker of japanese. It's just that just enough of AJATT works that the rest of the bullshit starts seeming plausible too. Anyways, i believe in you all (except those who don't do daily reps)

the sorts of people that live in japan without speaking the language are generally retarded because if you think about it for any length of time, not being able to communicate with 98% of the population is gonna suck for your social and romantic life. these people often go there with the ambition of learning japanese but give up cause it's too hard and stay in their JET/expat bubble. it's a truly pitiful experience,i have no idea why anyone would willingly subject themselves to it.

How strongly do you suggest switching over to one of the decks?
Though only ~1k words through 2k/6k, it's been comfortable and I tend to not like change. If there's a compelling argument in favor of swapping, though, I might as well.

batman can defeat any character "given enough preptime," no matter how big the mismatch is.
however, no matter how much preptime you have, the only way you can defeat japanese is by reading it until you think it's going to kill you, then reading more after that.

Pretty legit. The example sentences are pretty good at staying i+1. Has decent grouping of themes both as chapters of 120 words and sections of 25 words. There's also male and female native audio for all the words/sentences.

I've shared the decks with almost 100 people and haven't heard negative feedback on the books. One guy claimed all he used was the N5 and N4 books and passed the JLPT N4 with no problems. Another finished RTK then started these decks was almost done with the N4 book when he took the J-CAT and scored 163 (mid N3 range).

The Anki decks currently are not that accessible as I don't share them with anyone that doesn't have modest proof of ownership of the books, and the books can be pricey if you buy them outside of Japan. The other free resources do the job ok. So up to you to decide if they're really legit. If it helps, here's a video where I go through entire JLPT Tango N5 and N4 anki decks.

there's no fooling here dude you just didnt actually read the reddit post like i did, sit down and suffer for being so pretentious

1) they called か a letter
2) you can in fact use だ with い-adjectives, just not alone
3) っ at the end of a "sound" does not always indicate a glottal stop
4) 要る is not transitive
5) "Teineigo is very commonly used in clauses where it's important to be respectful but not the highest level of formality" is some serious next level "I have no idea what I'm talking about but I'm going to use linguistics words to make it sound like I am"

Pic related, shouldn't the translation be something like
