Well, however you play is fine,
as long as you don't make yourself depressed.
If you are, your outlook, what you can see, will be small.
It'll bring forth envy and vanity,
and on top of that you'll try to justify that
and become a very narrow-minded person.
Depressed humans will, in no time at all,
become isolated.
They will try to justify their isolation, speak ill of others,
and eventually reach a state where they cannot be reached.

How many times have you left your
small suzuran field? Humans are the same.
If they shut themselves in a
small place too long...
they won't be able to see others.
Only your heart alone will become aggressive.
You are the same as other typical humans,
one who holds a small heart.

Maybe you need to learn something from your time here. That's right, Anonymous, you're a little too closed-up in your own emotions(we'll ignore your other sins for now).

You can't allow yourself to be swallowed up by your negative thoughts and feelings. This doesn't mean you should go out and be extroverted in life- but you should at least strive to make your life as it is now as happy as it can be.

Nobody can have everything they want, but we can learn to be happy with what we have. Don't be so bound up in your sexual desires- Remember that one day, you are going to die, and you won't have sex(or anything physical) then.

Enjoy life, but don't get caught up in it, because it won't last forever.

As Hells have "lifetimes" (see: Hell of Burning Fires no longer being used as a Hell), it wouldn't really matter to them.

And since they're not souls, they can fight tooth and nail. Since ORDINARY souls can apparently fight hard enough to remain as a ghost and not get dragged away, I think an angry immortal would need entire legions of Shinigami to take them anywhere.

Another factor would be how bound immortals are by the life cycle of the universe. If Kaguya's eternity only exists because there is a finite timespan to compare it to, Kaguya and Mokou are both integrated in the whole of things. When the universe stops ticking, so do they. Their existance would not cause any paradoxes or infinite loops
On the other hand, if immortals carry their own "eternities" completely independent from the rest of existance (in effect, making them walking parallell universes), the state of existance as a whole would not affect them in the slightest.

Because the Hourai Elixir is one of the big mysteries of Gensokyo.

(Why do Type-Moon threads inevitably become about powerlevels? Because powerlevels are a big mystery in the Nasuverse. Especially with all the inferior powerlevels defeating the blatantly superior powerlevels.)

Being immortals, they have a lot of unknown history (imagine your entire life, and then realize that it's only in the double-digits.), and a long ways to go (youkai eventually die over thousands of years, they will not), as well as how physics interacts with their powers.

HOWEVER, Gensokyo does not obey physics, so as long as they're in Gensokyo, they do not have to worry about heat death and whatnot.

This thread took a odd turn for the worse. I suppose it's interesting to discuss immortality, but best not to take it too seriously when Gensokyo is a land of phantasms with a fairy tale logic applied to youkai's abilities.

Yuyuko stole a entire season because she wanted to make a cursed tree bloom. It's never really explained how and it's never really needed to be explained because it's excepted things like that happen in Gensokyo, it's a land of dreams and legend, a refuge for creatures of superstition to escape a world of logic that no longer believes they exist.

By Siki's dialog with Yomou in PoFV it seems that Half-Ghosts have different rules concerning life and death too, Siki says she must punish Yomou when she meets her because she might not ever get the chance to pass judgment on her again.

It got pretty much clarified in SWR and PMiSS that she was a bit of a slacker, but I still hold onto the impression that she's not necessarily horribly lazy like most people make her out to be. She just doesn't like doing unnecessary work, and she takes things at a relatively calm pace.

>Komachi thought that it was just a temporary issue, and worked at her own pace without the slightest bit of worry.

When I read this, I got the impression that she continued working at her normal pace, not because she was hardcore lazy, but because if the problem had an end, the solution would come eventually over time. She wasn't aware that the influx of spirits would cause a problem. If she knew they would, I like to think that she would pick up the pace to get the job done.
