Talking about translations:
Their very nature makes it hard for that particular problem to be well criticized by most people
If you need a translation, it's because you don't know the original language. Which means you'll have no idea if something was translated wrong unless they go full engrish like MTLs.
If you know the original language, you'll probably consume the original, and if you care about translations, you need to go out of your way to compare to know just exactly where the translation fucked up as obviously you don't have the original text in the translation.
So, the people who'll be in a position to make decent criticisms against translations won't be many.
Even less in an already niche medium few people consume like VNs

I don't understand how Merc became a god and how foreknowledge became his craving.
So he was once a mortal (sleeping god) who had an intense desire for knowledge so he emanated a world where everything was known to him. Afterwards he found himself on the throne and wants to get rid of foreknowledge but in each timeline he eventually clashes with Reinhard and both die and the moment of his death he doesn't acknowledge the outcome cause he doesn't die in embrace of Marie so resets everything with a bit of tuning each time.
But all these timelines are experienced by his sensory but he is confusing his feelings with the feelings of his sensory meaning all the timelines are in parallel according to his real self sitting on the throne.

But what I don't get is that everyone says he became a god the moment he is killed by Reinhard because he wants to repeat everything to get his desired outcome while at the same emanating his law of foreknowledge in that moment.

You see, foreknowledge is never actual foresight. It is the sense that everything you do/sense already happened before, because Merc's craving created a massively paradoxical law/universe.

Merc hasn't ever actually seen X event, but he feels exactly like he does because as the Throne god who's craving is to know, it is impossible for Merc to not already know X event because X event is part of the world he emanates.

In this sense, even the idea of parallel timelines become paradoxical. By all rights, other timelines can only exist when Merc takes action to create it via looping so they have to be sequential... but they must also be parallel because they all should be already known because of his Law. Massive paradox everywhere.

I treated D.I like a galge and went for Kei because childhood friends deserve to get FUCKED in every way except the obvious one, Rea is a chestlet and Marie is ghost stuck in an inanimate object- or so I thought at first. I read her route and then dropped it only to pick it back up because the chuuni stuff was interesting and got stuck in my head. I still like Kei (I straight up skipped the romantic scenes for all the other girls) but the chuuni stuff was definitely more interesting. GY's art is very easy to look at and cozy, but it's still very far away from being consistently good. Just look a bit up at that Einsatz cover pic with Ren and Shirou and notice how abominably long their waists are. Also take a quick look at that goofy CG of Goat-kyo strangling Kei. And that Michael one where its shows that his actual, mechanical jaw makes a 90 degree angle with his mouth on the surface, somehow. And compare all of Rusalka's CGs. Or that CG of Goat-kyo rising to the sky with a completely off-model face at the end of Marie's route. Or the end of Bakasumi's route where it looks like Trifa is three times taller than Rea.

Spinne-sama goes without saying. It was as campy as the character himself. it's been a while since I've seen any Spinneposting. Wilhelm and Trifa were great (as were all the men). I guess they didn't make as much of an impression because I didn't like the characters themselves as much as I liked snek and Reinhard. Wilhelm isn't all that interesting and Trifa is like a less-relatable Kirei. Dies Irae was very well done in general from a technical standpoint. There could be more CGs, and I don't think there's an option to delete saves in the game, which sucks (or maybe I'm just autistic) but overall there isn't much to complain about from a tech standpoint.

Kirei's characterization is that he's innately evil man who was raised as good (following the church's doctrine) and is psychologically crippled by the polarization. Gilgamesh's influence allows him to accept and indulge in his evil nature, but he'll never be truly happy and just wants to find an answer for why he was born that way.

These are not relatable characteristics, not by your every day human unless you're one twisted psychopath.

More importantly, this is nothing like Trifa, whose primary internal conflict was to escape weakness by cladding himself in the power of a man he reveres, despises and wishes to destroy despite perceiving him as omnipotent.

A wiki would be a pretty good idea, but considering the majority of us is EOP, who would work on the KKK and beyond sections? At the same time though, I feel like we don't really need to go out of our way to keep the thread alive, it's not like we have to stop making these threads just because we're dead at the moment.
