0. Clear your internet cache (not strictly necessary, but useful).
1. Load the video you want to save from nicovideo.
We'll use this one as an example
> http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2269372
Login first if you have to, and make sure to let the video download completely.
2. Type
> about:cache?device=disk
into the address bar in firefox.
3. On that page, CTRL-F to find cache entries containing the id number of the video.
For
> http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm2269372

4. Find a cache entry that is several million bytes (several MB) large. This is most likely the video.
Click on the "Key" link for this entry.

Is there really no easier method e.g. a extension or something for downloading flash videos? I mean I can right click a flash file in SAFARI of all things and download it right to a folder so it seems odd that a more capable browser like Firefox or something wouldn't be able to.
