Why is Touhou getting so boring as of late? Anyone else feel this way? Am I just burnt out?

Agreed, but I do see why ZUN has slowed down on making them.
Dude's married with two kids and definitely doesn't have the same passion for making Touhou as he did 15 years ago.
Overall it's definitely better for the quality for them to be released slower because I do believe he said VD was rushed and the result was, well, not super great.

Boring in reference too what? The fanbase? Doujin content? The manga? The games? Because if its a "just in general" deal then yes, its safe too say you burnt yourself out. Otherwise, its all subjective. Personally I dont believe the series has gotten boring and I think most of /jp/ or really any active fan would agree. True its not as exciting as when it was at its peak, but thats not a particularly helpful or good comparison. If anything I would simply say Touhou has become more relaxed over the years, which is not necessarily bad.

I don't think it's boring, but I don't really like how the bulk of new content and merchandise still features mostly 6-10 + Komeijis. Fewer and fewer people seem to actually give newhus a chance to be loved.

I think Sakuya has had two bad threads in a row.
Sanae is still getting slutposted to death, Reimu is low in posts and the faggotry is rising again.
I guess the holidays are painful times for /jp/ since NEETdom isn't all its cracked up to be. Sometimes it just gets to you.
It could be a combination of things for you, but yeah, things seem slower now. I haven't paid much attention to the board speed but it seems a little slow for a few threads being an exception.. if there are any.

Slow times are relaxing times, so take it easy. Easy times are not ahead of us that is for sure, so have fun!
