I’ve been playing Guilty Gear for a long time, but honestly BlazBlue betters it in every capacity except character roster. Story is a Find and Replace on the Guilty Gear one last I checked, but I don't check these things because it's a fucking fighting game.

SF4 is alright, I’m not a fan of that kind of fighter anymore but it’s infinitely better than Third Strike, and I’d play it any day over shitty doujin fighter #23842.

The only thing I dislike about blazblue is the sound design. The voices are activated far too often, and if you're playing someone annoying like Bang it can get pretty hard to deal with.

Punishing the player for bursting by increasing damage taken is taking things in an interesting direction, though. I suppose there's something to be said for those times when you're about to slap down a beautiful combo but you had to eat a burst

Carl gets on my nerves pretty fast. I don't mind Bang so much because "shuriken spechool" is still funny.

I think the burst system is better; you kind of needed it in Guilty Gear because each character (that people played) had some bullshit you had to escape, whereas BlazBlue seems to have done a great job keeping that stuff moderated with the tech time-prorate. Well, ignoring the Carl infinite anyway.
