Which sounds nice, except when I go between the east and west I notice a trend. Microsoft is great, and all.... but when I'm in the east, and go looking for a computer I go down the isle and see all manner of crazy and powerful computers. Especially some of their wide screen tablets and other shit. I come back here, and there are good computers, don't get me wrong, but even the best of them don't hold water to the greater portion of computers I was seeing in Japanese electronics a year ago.

Going through American stores, I've seen tablets here and there (and it's not just Tablets I'm talking about, but I'm using this as an example)... but they're rare, not as good, and generally just worse.

Going to Japan I was on a plane that had had every gadget either removed, and many never implemented in the first place. On the flight back from Japan, to the US, (I used Japan Airlines this time instead of United) every electronic gadget imaginable was supported (sockets etc) or present (you had little wiescreen TVs in the arm of your fucking seat and it had hook ups for your gadgets... it also had a library of PS2 games to play).

My trips back and forth between countries show me a lot of differences. Japan always manages to impress me. Talk about America and Microsoft and all that, but pay attention, in America we are making comparably little use of those monopolies... in Japan it's an orgasm of tech.

I think the OP just meant that America is going to become like Japan in terms of Anime and Games and various other eastern themes and stuff. I could actually see it, those trends are on the rise in my area. Anime clubs, there are even several stores that import and sell items that most big chains wouldn't ever touch (due to content, though it's not all about adult stuff). One of them reported larger sales than the Fry's electronics and Best buys around here combined due to being the only place to get some of this eastern junk.

Japan was a mosquito compared to the United States though, they didn't have any chance of inflicting serious casualties, the Germans on the other hand actually managed a 1:1 KIA ratio against America, pretty impressive considering how every country that goes against America ends up with at least 5+ KIA
