Do like me and get a membership to one of those sites that download torrent for you and then let you direct download them.
They are very useful, they also debrid links from some host. I use premiumize, by far the best one it even debrid brazzer and let you use their proxy services, but it might be a little too pricy for you so i'd reccommend real-debrid which is not bad either.

Completed the trial of "Amazing Grace".

It took for me more than 15 hours, shit.
Developers let us guess who is a victim and write it on Twitter with hashtag ＃あめぐれクリスマスプレゼント . And someone will get a present, huh? To be honest, I totally have no idea who can be a victim, it is to difficult for me to understand. Looks like really an apocalypsis. Oh... Sorry for my English.

But it was really interesting, I'd want to play the full game.

Her route wasn't even good. The game got its attention because of the kinda ridiculous voice-cast, blonde hair being apparently more liked than you might think and the game just being fun once you get into it. (the beginning is very.. awkward. Felt like the author got a weird setting to use and he tried to make it believable. Which was impossible)
The final route gave it maybe a little special meaning for some people, but unless you are new to the medium, the whole thing isn't very impressive. The author kinda messes up the message as well, which is funny. The girl doesn't like movies with a certain theme being just for entertainment. Well. She is in a game and has a route like that just for entertainment. Okay, maybe it was intentional, but I don't think many even realized this.

It's like the nips are aware that obviously the majority of the characters in their VNs don't look asian at all, so they have to compensate in awkward ways for some false sense of pride.

Maken was actually very good, once you realize how it works. An oldschool flag hunt with many quick ng+, that's extremely fast paced and satisfying, if you like that kinda thing. If they make a very good game like that just by "rebranding", go ahead. More isn't always good.

Sora no Tsukurikata was fun for the first 5 hours and did a lot right. Then it became a moege in terms of its storytelling. If you are fairly negative, you can see that coming, but I hoped that there's more to this. In the end it feels like a moege author tried something else but told the story like moege tell their drama. The worst was also how the protagonist changed from one second to the other, as soon as the heroine chapters start. In the end, I just couldn't give any shits anymore. It just felt so.. different. So dropped.

Will not touch the "sequel" either. The character designs are a ton worse and the heroine characterizations and summary make me think, nothing will have changed in terms of how the story is told and what the priorities are. I mean "One day, Natsu and Makoto rescued a princess who was looking for her missing older brother. This girl Yuki was actually Tsukasa’s imouto…" yeah. Right.

Called it when the Switch was first announced. It's such a natural target platform for eroge ports, especially with the Vita out of the picture.

Apart from NoA decades ago, Nintendo has never really been that prudish anyway. The 3DS had a bunch of lewd shit, like Senran Kagura. The Vita just got more actual eroge ports because it had more storage space and resolution to work with.

Unlike Sony, Nintendo actually has a very good reason to get rid of that: Their image is a family friendly company, offering consoles for families and especially children. If you like conquest SLG, the gameplay is painfully easy and shallow. But even if you are new to them, it's actually just a borefest starting from the middle or so. It feels as if Lain, 自殺101 and some sci-fi anime from the 90s had a child. The bgm is meh, but the art and text are good. The plot is kinda convoluted, but enjoyable nonetheless. It's greatest strength is probably it's pretty unique atmosphere. Don't expect much from h-scenes, they're present for plot purposes, but almost nothing is shown and they're not sexual (PG-13 or some shit), so you won't be able to fap to it, and no, it's not a challenge. As for the length, it's probably under 10 hours, so not long.

>Just finished Ritterorden. I'm actually stunned. This game is absolutely amazing, and it's hard to believe that it ended up with less than 50 total sales. I'm a big fan of fantasy and this game scratched an itch no other VN has come close to scratching. There's so much I love about this game. The writer is very knowledgeable and the game is filled with interesting perspectives on politics, economics, and just life in a medieval world. When characters eat a cake, there's an explanation for how cakes were even baked back then. The plotting is good too, with each route building on each other until you read the final, climatic route that is an unbelievable explosion of everything that's been foreshadowed to this point. The plot and execution of everything is very, very solid. It feels a lot like A Song of Ice and Fire, aka Game of Thrones. Slow introduction of characters in a complex world and then BAM. A Storm of Swords and a Clash of Kings. Ritterorden is easily on the level of ASoIaF in terms of writing, if not higher. This game is also 熱い as hell. The battles are intense and the characters use every tool at their disposal to try to take each other down. Blood, sweat, last-second tricks... The battles are hella engaging. The 決戦 at the end of the game is one of the hypest things I've read. Interesting writing, great plotting, intense battles... What's not to love? Well, two things. One, it's a low-budget doujin game so there's no voices and t he art can be iffy at times. Two, the beginning of the game and the first route in general can be pretty slow. But if you can look past the budget nature of the work and the slow start, you will find a very good game that's criminally unknown. Ritterorden shot up to be one of my favourite VNs of all time and I give it a solid recommendation.

Sometimes you can still get them though. I remember getting some stuff by simply having the link, because of typical Japanese "programming". You know, you need to input the code, to get linked to the DL, but if you have the link... it's not protected. I know willplus does this a lot with timed extra patches and the like. Use wayback machine, see if you find a link. And something what they "stopped distributing" a year ago is still there.

That said, I kinda remember Hanikami Clover's append stuff being possible, but I'm unsure. The anon will have to search the typical places himself. It helps reading some forum posts and the like as well.

Many chuuni authors just make words up so you can try to read it with some on'yomi (just to after know that the characters pronounce it totally different as it has happened to me) or just give up and made some name up.

This is probably the biggest thing you need to realize, when you get to Japanese. It's fucking normal for Japanese people to not be able to read their own damn language. For someone who grew up with a language, where you can always read everything, once you've learned how to read, it's super weird. But it is, how it is. Go to some countryside area in Japan you don't know, look at a train-station and guess how the fuck the station is called. Without furigana or asking someone, you won't know. Or even the village you are in itself. Or people's names. School names. ANYTHING.

It's one of the biggest reasons, why this style of writing is awful and should, in theory, be replaced by something with clear meanings. Because, what if there's nobody you can ask for how it's read? What good does a written language do, when nobody can read it, even though they are supposedly capable of reading the language and even know the damn characters? This part is definitely a fun part about the language. For fiction, it offers kanji jokes and the like. You can make fancy names with more meaning behind it. And more. But practically speaking? Shit. Utter shit.
