God I don't know why I'm still up but I just saw this thread. Anyways, Adelaide's been having trouble with her leg joints being too loose so I took her and tightened her knees and ankles. Jesus it's a bitch to reattach the knee joint back to the ball at the hip. She's all better now though!

Well I got Adelaide from Volks. There are a couple of other places you could get one from but I'm not as familiar with them due to my lack of finances so I don't have a chance to do much shopping.

I'm considering getting a Dollphie, but I'm really not sure what sort to go for.

What are the main differences between the different types of Dollphie?
Are there any that are preferable to others in terms of either build quality or range of clothes and accessories etc?

If you're just talking 1/3rd vinyl dolls, then there's really only Volks Dollfie Dream and Obitsu. There really isn't much difference between the base bodies quality, but personally I think Volks ones are prettier. But hey, if it's gonna be wearing clothes, who cares?

On the 1/6th side though... I like Obitsu dolls better. They hold poses well, unlike Volks 1/6th stuff which is all floppy.

Also Azone has their Ex Cute / Pureneemo dolls, which are really cute. They use either an original body or the Obitsu bodies for their dolls.

But yeah, just browse around at these sites, and see what you like.
