Should I continue to the non-canon story in PCB or skip to IN?

I can understand where OPs coming from. PCB had a shitty storyline, the dialogues were poorly written and the whole ploy didn't draw you into the game like in the rest of the series. I personally find EoSD to be the best in terms of plot development, PCBs one didn't make any sense. IN isn't a masterpiece either, but even then it's much better written.

I liked Eientei, but seriously, the whole thing about Lunarian society is ridiculous. When ZUN said that Mokou didn't have a burning, burning hate for Kaguya, and when Kaguya really weakened her ability on the mansion, they suddenly became very, very bland by canon's standards. I also don't like Reisen or Tewi very much. Reisen's ability is pretty neat and all, but goddamn she's boring, fucking moon rabbits. As far as conflicts in the Eientei mansion goes, it should just be Eirin, Kaguya, and Mokou, with the mansion still under complete control of Kaguya's eternity manipulation.

PC-98 was hardcore, people actually died there. If someone got into a fight it was usually a matter of life and death, so you knew you have to give your best. Nowadays with the bullshit danmaku rule it just lost its charm. In the end, everything is resolved by tea parties now. Gensokyo got way too soft.
