Me was an abortion of an OS that didn't fill any niche. At the turn of the century those with modern processors ran 2000 and those who wanted to play their DOS games stuck with 95/98.

It's gotta be windows 98 or 2000 for me, XP is alright but I never got into it much. I used 2000 right up until 7 came out. Shame, 7 is almost 10 years old now.

Hope you find a new OS soon before 7 support is killed off.

Same for me. XP just looked way too inconsistent and unpolished. 7 was Microsoft's last attempt at making a good-looking OS and everything went down the drain after that.

Been using Linux as a main desktop and Windows 7 for emulator purposes. How's the development and emulator support on that? I tried it a while back but my computer either didn't like it or it installed features to different desktop environments. How's it working now?

>> No.20070368

Not him, but Clover OS is basically Gentoo Linux but with an easier install process, so it basically supports anything if you know how to properly configure your system.

Big emphasis on "if".

It has all of the major emulators in their more recent build, wine version is at 3.18, there is vulkan headers available for dxvk, and the default fvwm config has been updated to have a program list. It has most Desktop Environments available, except Gnome and Cinnamon, due to retard dependencies, Otherwise KDE and XFCE are fully functional.
