I understand WHY they were invalid, just not why I couldn't get out of them. I get out of shit all the time against the computer, and I don't see why their stuff is any more or less invalid than yours.

And I can handle losing, it just gets a bit annoying when I get corner-locked and can't do anything at all to get out of it because Nero's moves never have anything less than a six-frame startup, which means with any delay at all if I notice a chance to get out, it's already too late.

As for BnBs, I know some. It's just impossible to pull them off online, for some reason.

No, it's Nero's shitty DP. Crappy startup but the only redeeming factor is invincibility on startup. On block you're fucked though (-9000 frames on block).
Against lockdown in corner w/ nero, best options are generally jumping out or maybe 2b due to early clash frame. Psychic 2C to fish for CH might work, but it has bad startup and it's a gamble, meant for people who IAD a lot.

Satsuki is D-tiered :)

-Get BnBs more ingrained to your muscle memory. I realize that the lag didn't help, but there were times you were using ridiculous strings like incorporating a 63214c into a combo.
-Don't poke when you are far away, nero does have long reaching moves but they all suck.
-Block on wakeup
-Block when the opponent is attacking you, don't try to get a hit in between his hits
-summons summons summons. Nero's normals suck dick, you need to cover them up with deers or snakes.

I have one or two, but I'm apparently completely unable to use them online despite having about 85% success rate offline.

>-Block on wakeup
I do. It fails miserably about 80% of the time.

>-Block when the opponent is attacking you, don't try to get a hit in between his hits
Which leaves my health being chipped down for a good sixty seconds while I'm waiting for the match to end.

>-summons summons summons. Nero's normals suck dick, you need to cover them up with deers or snakes.
You tell me to do this, but it's impossible to get a summon out against anybody other than Nero because they're all right it your face 24/7 or throwing shit at you faster than animals can get out.

Ex-crow after a corner ending BnB

AorB-crow if far away

Chip damage is a whole lot less than a full combo damage.

85% of success is not too good considering that it is your bread and butter combo.

Lastly, you will just need more experience. There can be nothing you are doing wrong that a fix will suddenly help you win against people who have been honing their skills for far longer time.

Nero's BnBs require little execution for the most part (aside from the 2b(1) 2c jb jb jc etc combo, which I seriously doubt you're doing anyway). You suck if you can't execute them and haven't bothered trying to learn them to an acceptable level.

Most normals deal no chip damage. Nero has second highest def/hp mod in game overall, chip damage will not kill you, unless you're against flamepit v.akiha. But attempting to mash out and eating 3.5k will.

How the fuck do you fail at blocking at wakeup. All you do is hold [1] while you're on the ground. The only thing that will "screw you up" is a grab (or an unblocked overhead, but that still counts as blocking).

Understanding summons are a core part of nero's game. Obviously advice such as "summonssummonssummons" is useless. Watch good players (SAT) to see how to summon. In terms of speed, summon speed/recovery is pretty much:
A bird/B bird > ex crows > b snake > ex snake > a deer > a snake > ex deer > b deer
Knowing how to use them in terms of pressure etc is what will make you a strong player.

Nero is allowed one airjump and one airdash. Since he didn't use his airdash since it was a corner bnb, he could use it in part of the combo.

Nero has a lot of corner pressure options. Set those frame traps. I'd list them but uh...there's a lot.

Some of my favorite pressure options are:
5b(1) 2c B snake >either 5b for jumpouts or another B snake (snake glitch: summon another snake while the first snake is dropping out of his coat) > B deer during bsnake blockstun
5b(1) 2c 214a (hits mashers/jumpouts), weak against people with a good dash
5b(1) 2c 5a(whiff) j.A jumpin
This gives you the option of doing his jb (blocked high) airdash jb. Works great against people who block low after they block the first jb. Follow up (gatling) into 5b 2c aircombo.

Bleh I could go on forever with throws into corner, summon usage, and setups but I think it's better if you watch vids.

The advice is on how to get them where I can use those buttons, when to use animals, and more general stuff like how to get out of blockstrings. j.C doesn't work for everything, just most things.

also its really hard to do alot of these combos with a controller, keyboard would probably be easier, but I'm so used to a controller at this point might as well learn how to do it

>> No.2017121

>>2017120
Actually, upon learning that I use a keyboard, most people recommend I buy a cheap gamepad.

Of course, I doubt anything could beat a full-fledged arcade stick, but those don't come cheap.

Yeah was pretty fun, same, but with wara for me. Used to be 'decent' with akiha too but i havent played in a hellava long time with her.

>> No.2017140

Keyboards give you better precise control than pads, but they also ghost keypresses if you're as quick as you ought to be. Things like 2C4C tend to become 2C(23)4C. Similar problem is key overload. Not a problem for all keyboards, but depending on your configuration, you may be physically unable to press certain combinations of buttons because of how the circuitry is mapped.
