Apparently Native Americans had bad luck. They were absolutely defenseless against hte various diseases that the white colonists and fishermen broguht with them.

The diseases alone killed 80 to 90% of the population, which if it didn't, the Natives might have put up a decent defense.

The whites killed the rest of the Native Americans.
