So I was wondering... with being able to install Linux on the PS3, and possibly emulating windows if it wouldn't work just like that... could you possibly play Touhou on the PS3? That would be amazing.

Wine only works on x86 CPUs.

You could run QEMU or something of the sorts and install Windows (can you even run Windows inside that?), but it would be slower than slow.

Why don't you just connect your PC to your TV?

At best, you could play the PC98 games, but I don't think there are any decent PC98 emulators for Linux.

Ouch... I see what you mean. I suppose it was just a passing dream after all.

Because the PS3 is much more portable, and closer to the TV.

You can play anything from your computer to your PS3 as long as you configure it correctly using streammygame.

You could just connect your PS3 controller to your computer and get pretty much the same experience.
I don't know what OS you use, but I know there are drivers for Windows, and there is bound to be a way to make it work.

Your computer has a significantly weaker cpu.

Ha I remember asking the exact same thing on Pooshitmer back in....2007

GODDAMN TIME FLIES, WHAT HAVE I BEEN DOING WITH MY LIFE

Anyways yea, connect your ps3 controller to your computer and use your TV as the monitor.

I used to do that when I still played the games

Why play Touhou on a console when you have gamepads?, this is only a good idea if it's going portable, like on the DS or PSP.

Why would I want to download Touhou onto my Blueray player?

This would be great

Yes, and this matters so much for Touhou games that will run just fine on a 5 year old laptop processor.

Plus the PS3 Cell really isn't all that and then some anymore. For many calculations the Cell really isn't any better than a (arguably more expensive than what you pay for the Cell in the PS3, fairly recent) general purpose x86 CPU, and it is kinda an ass to code for if you want to optimize performance.
