Pretty good. Despite their opposite personalities, Marisa and Alice are fellow magicians. They have tons of stuff to learn from each other and they already cooperated multiple times.

Not to mention their squabbles already feel like an old married couple and they clearly at least care for each other on some level. Hell, they shared a bed in one of IN endings.

Of course, ZUN won't allow any actual romance in canon but they have huge potential to become best friends. That's the only pairing option that really makes sense for Alice, actually.

Not really. She's accomplished for her age, but she's still very young for a magician and far less experienced than say, Patchouli. If she were to try and become immortal now, she'd probably turn into Gollum or get the bad immortality where she still ages, just never dies. If immortality was that easy, everyone would do it. It's been explicitly stated that becoming an immortal at a young age is simple nowadays. Alice did it just before appearing in PCB (admittedly it's unclear whether she became a full immortal, but she doesn't need to ear), Patchouli clearly did it when she was young. The only Magician who did it when they were old in canon is Byakuren, and her method is abnormal for these days, since she cheats her youthful appearance.

Marisa very well could become an immortal because she has several connections that could lead her to immortality. She has never pursued even a single one, she has only said she wanted to. She could become a hermit and hasn't legitimately tried that, she could consume a Hourai immortal's guts but I understand that's distasteful, and of course she could remove the "worms" of death from her body to abandon food and then become an immortal but again, point to one time in 20 years that she's done this. There are other methods too, but she never goes after them.

So, stuff like Yuyuko and Suika having a bad relationship is worthwhile, Marisa and Alice coming across one another doesn't add much, and as far as we know they don't interact often outside of these events and Incidents, primarily because Alice is rather a recluse, and when she goes out it's to put on puppet shows. They also may be both magicians but

Regarding Alice we don't know when exactly she had cast Abandon Food onto herself outside of her being considered 'new' for a youkai magician, which we don't exactly have a benchmark for judging how long 'new' is. If we assume she hasn't cast youth spells on herself, slowed down her aging in some way, or used Abandon Worm to stop aging entirely, based on her looks she probably went youkai in her twenties or so. But since then we don't know how much time had past as we don't know the magician species' lifespan besides it being 'limited' by youkai standards, and if a human that becomes magician gains that same lifespan or continues a normal human one.

Patchouli was born a magician and was never human. We don't know how long she's lived but she's well over a normal human lifespan as she spent at least a hundred years in the library alone. We don't know if she has cast Abandon Worms on herself, so it's unknown if she's a true magician or if magicians have long but finite lifespans (she could have use youth/slow aging magic as well). It's clear if there out of the three she'd be the closest to being a true magician if she's not one already.

Marisa herself is the greenest of the bunch, and while she is talented to a certain extent, she lacks the experience to apply any known methods in practice. While she might have some limited book knowledge on Abandon Food and Abandon Worms, it is unlikely she currently has the skill to do it herself. But it's very clear she is interested in extending her (and possibly Reimu's if interested) lifespan some way. Her overall casualness on actively pursuing a particular method immediately probably comes from her being young and knowing she still has a good few decades on her to train and decide later in necessary. The most likely path would obviously be becoming an actual youkai magician, but that runs into the issue of Reimu which is a big issue in several ways. Alternate crack theory is that she secretly already cast Abandon Food on herself but never revealed it because Reimu would be forced into action, which neither of them wants.

If you want a true point of contention, then think Rinnosuke, who was the effect of a union between a human and a youkai. It's not unimaginable he moved out of the Human Village for the very same reason as Marisa.

Patchouli is a true Magician. They're stated to be physically exactly the same as humans, they only don't need to eat and have extreme magical power. Since Patchouli hasn't aged in over a hundred years, it's safe to say she has become a true Magician. I think this has been stated, but if it hasn't it can be inferred due to the standards of a human body.

Also since Marisa is not a villager she doesn't fall under its rules. When Reimu killed the Fortune Teller, it was stated that a human VILLAGER becoming a youkai was the worst sin there is.
