I had a dream I was having a tea party with some dolls. When I woke up I had the strongest urge to go buy one, which is strange, I've never considered it before.

From what I can see, the one on the right is a Kanu DDdy (Dollfie Dream Dynamite) with a custom wig and clothes. It's a limited edition so good luck trying to find it.

The one on the left seems to be a DDdy body with a Haruhi head mold along with custom wig/clothes. Also Limited Edition.

Only place to find these reliably is on Yahoo Auctions Japan. Unless someone else knows someplace better?

DDdy bodies have larger busts and hips. Their clothes would fall off a normal DDII body, especially the skirts, where they need the extra size of the DDdy to stay on.

DDdy also have thicker thighs and have their upper breastplace piece seam higher up, so you can see the navel and belly without a joint.

This is all well and good except for flexiability. They can't perform the range of motions that the DDII can do, which is a bit of a shame.

Depends, you have to rememebr that the limited editions are well, limited. They usually have a unique head mold, unique eyes, and unique clothes which you cannot buy anywhere, unless it's second hand.

There are 'standard' sets which you can buy, and they tend also have unique set of items, but the major difference is that the limited editions are....limited.

I want a doll but when I sit down to order the parts I always flip out and can't decided on exactly what I want. I want a cute doll to dress up!

I've been sculpting for a while but never thought of dolls until I saw some tutorial posts on desuchan... I think I might try that but it's a lot of effort.
