I feel like you can visit, but doing anything there outside of just looking would be considered sinful from a Christian perspective. (I did end up getting a fortune, but I considered that the same as getting a fortune cookie). From a Shinto perspective, I don't think they care? Some short documentary about Japanese and religion is that they think westerners and others take it way too seriously.

The earliest record of anything resembling the term "miko", is of the Chinese reference to Himiko, Japan's earliest substantiated historical reference (not legendary), however it is completely unknown whether Himiko was a miko, or even if miko existed in those days.
Himiko or Pimiko (卑弥呼, c. 170–248 CE) was a shamaness-queen of Yamataikoku in Wa (ancient Japan).

Hemp leaf pattern is a unique pattern in Japan, geometrical pattern based on regular hexagon. The origin of the name was literally named because of the association of the leaf shape of "hemp".
