Ah, Moira ... As far as I know, it doesn't have a heavy connection to past singles and albums other than the occasional reference here and there ("The chronicles of Mythos. It's as rapid as the blink of an eye.").

A number of tracks are translated here: http://nattokinase.livejournal.com/35644.html

But I haven't really gotten around to listening to Moira yet, so I haven't really looked for the lyrics and translations of them. Most of my lyrical compilation are from previous Sanhora albums.

Very welcome, Anon. Sanhora translations are hell to search for.

Out of all the albums I've tried to search for translations so far, "Elysion ~Prelude to Paradise~" has been the biggest pain to search for (I've yet to attempt Chronicle 2nd, and Shounen wa Tsurugi o ... is a single, though perhaps more of a pain).

So here, I'll post what I found while scouring. None of the translations are mine - I give credit to nattokinase, Onizuka90, dierapunzel, Blick Road and everyone else who went through the trouble of translating them.

First song: Ark ... in the next post, because apparently, the field's too long.

In the cage that pretends to be a miniature garden, they alter the forbidden organ
Did you think that you had become a proud, incompetent God?

... Love wishing to the "Ark"

"Decay -- that is the season that continued to conceive "Soror's" memory on a snowy February day"

'The ark that will lead us to Elysion
Will release our wretched souls from this earth
We give the Ark to you who are searching for salvation'
The thing called the Ark glittered silver in the moonlight

The rain of cold words betrayed even memories
Before the two that were happy fall out of reach forever ...

Next song: Tadoritsuku Uta

Silently the blind minstrel Luna parted her lips…

The song I’m going to sing now … is a song about a girl seeking her most important thing.
The tough journey. The difficult path. However the girl would never give up.
Rather than cursing the fate, the story chose the path to sing even in hard times.
Even though one day History will bury everything. Now … just close your eyes and listen.

My beloved, where are you?
I don’t have a single clue.
The song accompanying me on my lonely journey
Fly off toward the far off sky, disappear at the sunset glow.

The rain that fell from the sky, caught in my hand

What always supported me when I was frustrated is
This nameless song that was the last thing you left ...

“Fate … Even if you take the light from my eyes
You cannot take the songs from my lips …”

The seeking song brightens twilight’s darkness with sunshine.
The never withering flower blooms there dignifiedly

Ah ... the sorrowful whispering ...

Even if storms come and tear down everything
The most important things will still always be here.

(The song that seeks the most important thing/person)

Next up, a personal favorite of mine: Koibito o Uchiotoshita Hi ("The Day I Shot Down My Lover")

The bow bends and a flame springs forth, freezing the night sky over
Boldly, with a blue song of farewell, I shoot down you, my love ...

Something long forgotten in the past, the scars rip open
Your chest contains a cursed promise

"If my death is inevitable, then let it be carried out by those loving hands ..."
Unable to fight back, the darkness of impulse consumes him ...

The world distorts as the spiraling flames penetrates the metempsychosis
Boldly, with a bloody red kiss, I shoot down you, my love ...

All for the love of Sound Horizon. Hopefully, this will help other frustrated fans trying to find out what the lyrics mean.

Next song: Rein no Sekai ("Rein's World"). Unfortunately, I've yet to find "Jimang no Sekai".

In a desolate plain walks a girl
A girl and an animal, to be more precise; in her right hand is a red string
The collar fixed to the end of it is also red
A dog with silver-black fur barks softly
As though it were speaking to its owner, the girl called "Rein" ...

You tumble into the magnificent ruins, frightened of the cold rain
The shining honour, the power of authority -- they are now nothing but possessions of the past

“Observation is a sharp tool to gouge out the sides of reality

“"Death"... is something that has completely rotted away
Beginning from the senses that depend on the body, followed by the soul
Because of that humans take extreme measures to avoid and escape it
But even so, could they resist the cold kiss of an uninvited death...?”

“The incessant fear becomes the illusion of an ever falling rain
That is... the agony of having your soul broken even as you are alive
The eternal array of mirrors placed opposite each other, as clear as a glass ball
The sinners lie in her eyes, merely watching "the world", so it is said...”

“Seeing is believing -- no amount of hearsay can match that of one glance
Pity... contempt... scorn directed at the wrong places... that is to say the problem of others is none of your concern

Next: Mahoutsukai Sarabanto ("The Magician Sarabanto")

Once upon a time there was a magician who lost his lover
He sought the forbidden secret to resurrect the dead
Despite knowing naught but calamity befalls any who ventures into that field
Why do people still seek the genie's power, a power that surpasses human knowledge ...?

The raging winds blow up the sand
Obstructing the path of the young traveller
To accompany his travels is one camel
He rides across the sand dunes and heads for town...

"How would you like a magic lamp?"
Whispers a shady-looking bearded man
A haggle in a dark alleyway

Towns were built again, and barriers were lifted
In order to protect the now long-established peace"

"Proudly carved into his right arm is the proof: "The Emblem of Thunder"

Another narration-heavy song, and one of the creepiest in my opinion. Here's Ori no Naka no Hana ("The Caged Flower").

"The stage actress of slaughter, "Michele Malebranche"
She has been in the front stage of crime in three occasions.
Her short life is still a mysterious puzzle that has intrigued many.
Now, everything will be explained.”

(---First Act "Papa's Happiness Drawing" on November 21, 1887---)

"The eerie, violent death case of Joseph Malebranche (biological father)"

"With the lack of evidence, as well as her age
Voices of doubt rose up as to whether she could have killed him.
Her speech and behavior that indicated her non-recognition of the boundary of reality and fantasy was repeated.
Unusual behavior was something that could be seen from her many times."

---(Self proclaimed genius of criminology, M. Christophe Jean-Jacques Saint-Laurent writes:)---

"It looked as if she was some kind of witch, but that kind of explanation isn't something I should come up with.
Her murder motives could be discussed from many points of view – the question isn't unanswered, the answer is as clear as crystal.

I think she locked herself inside a cage from where she couldn't break out, which made her extremely paranoid.
But, unfortunately that's what she wanted for her life, no matter the circumstances.
And, even after a century of her death, she is still inside that cage.

How can I make all these assertions? That's a good question.
Fine, even if all this could be proven false.
This, Christophe Jean-Jacques Saint-Laurent, dares to declare here.
We, as her, are inside the cage."

Haha, nope. There are a lot of interpretations for different songs, and I think Revo encourages that.

Personally, here's what I think goes on in the Elysion ~Prelude to Paradise~ songs:

Ark: Soror and Frater are siblings who are part of some human experimentation project. Soror is brainwashed into thinking that the "Ark", a knife, will save her, and after somehow being betrayed by Frater, kills him with the knife, intending to 'return to paradise'. The masked man at the end links to the Elysion ~Paradise Illusion Story Suite~, and there's a doujin for Ark that better explains it.

Tadoritsuku Uta: Luna is a blind minstrel singing about searching for her lost love, Endymion (Greek/Roman mythological references) with the song he composed for her before he left.

Koibito o Uchiotoshita Hi: Pretty straightforward - the man who shielded his lover from a demon on the day they met turns into a demon because of the wounds he sustained, and he asks her to be the one to kill him. She shoots him dead, and then herself.

Damn, that video always freaks me out.

Anyway, "Eru no Rakuen [->side: E->]" ... To understand it best, you should also listen to the other songs on the Elysion side because they're all connected, but basically, the song starts out with Abyss, El's father, dying just after he makes it into their house.

El is a sickly girl who has a fascination with paradise, and for her upcoming birthday, Abyss was going to purchase her a picture book. Too far gone into her sickness, El doesn't realize that her father is dead and constantly questions him about paradise, falling into delusions and, as far as my interpretation goes, eventually dying herself.

Rein no Sekai: ... Honestly, I have no idea what this song is about, exactly, other than a girl with a dog and if the girl opens her eyes, a monster will be released. I think another character is involved, someone running away from his problems and longing for all the things he once had, but other than that, I have no idea. I do find it amusing how it can be connected to "Hoshikuzu no Kawahimo", though.

Mahoutsukai Sarabanto: A fun spin on the usual Aladdin-esque story. A magician seeks to resurrect his lover with the power of the genie, and a shady old man 'helps' him out. However, he is trapped, and while unconscious, his late lover tells him to move on. He wakes up to find the female genie, takes his lover's advice and decides to wish her free and take her with him on his journey.

Raijin no Keifu: Kind of a sequel to a song in the Chronicle album. One of the last descendants of the God of Thunder is outcast, and the only one that treats him well is the village chief's daughter, whom he falls in love with. He berates himself for it, though, especially since she's supposed to be married off on her 16th birthday. However, on that day, enemies summon a monster that can only be defeated by someone with the blood of the God of Thunder. The boy steps up, even though it might cost him his right arm, but the girl adds her power and together, they defeat the monster. The one telling the story, presumably, is the girl, who married the boy and continued the line of the God of Thunder, as evident by her grandson.

Ori no Naka no Hana: Michele Malebranche is a stage actress who's been murdering people since she was a little girl, starting with her father. Eventually, they found her body atop the corpses of her victims, and Christophe declares that she trapped herself inside a cage that continues even after her death. Check out "Norowareshi Houseki" for an interesting story of her curse beyond the grave.

Yield: Possibly the most confusing song in this album, with regards to what exactly happened. Basically, the daughter is in love with her father, but is in conflict over it, and her desire to become happy eventually leads her to kill someone. The greatest argument is over what the "equation" means: 3 - 1 + 1 - 2.

Hm. I always thought it was odd that it was the only album whose songs weren't related to each other, though I kinda assumed that it was related to the next album.

Nope, all the songs are taken from earlier doujin releases.

1. Ark - technically from Elysion proper, but looking at the pico magic albums you'll see revo'd been working on that song for a while.
2. Tadoritsuku Uta - track 3 on Chronicle 2nd
3. Koibito wo Uchiotoshita Hi - track 3 on Lost
4. Rein no Sekai - track 7 on Pico Magic Reloaded
5. Mahōtsukai Sarabanto - track 4 on Lost
6. Raijin no Keifu - track 17 on Chronicle 2nd
7. Ori no Naka no Hana - track 4 on Pico Magic Reloaded
8. Yield - like Ark, this was probably in production when he got picked up by a major label. Majo to LaFrench from Elysion also was. (Fuck you I am not going to come up with a better romanization of ラフレンツェ just for you.)
