Despite having similar names, the Egyptian goddess Heqet (also called Hekat or Heqat) and Hecate aren't related in any way.

It is due to Hecate's peculiar origins and standings that the only natural conclusion to explain this is is that she is not Proto-Greek in origin, but was imported from another culture. In truth, Hecate actually originates in Anatolia, or the region of modern-day Turkey among the Carians, with inscriptions to Hecate being found in Miletus, close to Caria. It also bears mentioning that UTU may have melded together with Hepat, the mother of all living things, queen of all deities, and goddess of the Hurians. So in short, Hecate was actually the queen of deities and chief deity of the Anatolian regions and held so much more power than she would enjoy as being part of the Greek pantheon as Hecate, who imported her into their religion as a Titan. The connection between Arinniti and the underworld comes from the fact she rules in two courts, essentially. In the day she shines over the living and at night, she illuminates the underworld. Now being able to read (at least the abstract) of that article I mentioned, it does bear mentioning that Hecate was, at least in Hediod's Theogony, was the most blessed by Zeus and Cronos, both having given her gifts of the earth, land and sea and is given honor exceeding her position by the other deathless gods. In fact, she was allowed to keep her control over the earth, land and sea by the god of kings Zeus, noteworthy due to the gods usually only being given portions of one of the three. She whom she favored were surely granted kingship and the divine right to rule, and Hecate was notable among the Greek gods for being one who answers prayers, especially toward those she favored. As an only child of Asteria and Perses, she was granted even more honor. Having been the nurse of the young gods, Hecate was perhaps the favored child of the divine beings of Greece.

Linking this back to her position as the chief goddess of Arinna, it is interesting to note that even among the gods, Hecate is able to play kingmaker, granting divine providence to rule even among divine, powerful entities such as the Olympians. In fact, her close associations to magic, witchcraft, and childbirth and the like are all surprisingly nowhere to be found in Hesiod's Theogony, which is important to know considering the Theogony is a poem detailing the origins and the genealogy of the gods. In fact, even in the poem, Hecate is prescribed almost chiefly powers one would assume with an all-powerful god, instead of the aspect-prescribed god more commonly found in Greece. In fact, compared to future descriptions of the goddess, Hecate enjoys a broad, almost all-encompassing domain explained in the Theogony. This could possibly be explained as Hecate was the chief goddess of Ascra, the hometown of Hesiod, and that in this way he was showing praise to this chief of gods. Even in Greece, Hecate appears to have enjoyed the role as a chief deity, it seems. It seems that although she was no longer the king of the gods in Greece, she enjoyed power and domain similar to that of a chief goddess even before the fall of the Titans, and that even Zeus was cautious to show grace and gave her more after the Titanomachy. It is perhaps the reason Hecate enjoys so much is because the Theogony maintains her Indo-European positions and influences as a chief goddess.

In summary, if you love Hecatia, Hecatia will love you back a hundredfold, especially if you're a politician, an athlete, or a fisherman (or a baby).

Human-related sacrifice isn't exactly a common form of worship in Greek mythology and is usually done when demanded by the gods. Typically, animals or various kinds of crops or food would be sacrificed with the latter being ceremonially slaughtered and be presented to the parishioners and the gods as a feast meal. The Greeks would feast alongside their gods, it was believed. While religious prostitution was a thing in Greek society, the only notable example was in Corinth in temples dedicated to Aphrodite, whose sphere encompasses love and pleasure so Hecatia wouldn't be involved with that. As a Greek goddess (depending on the region), you'd probably offend Hecatia by wasting the lives of what could have been children and thus earn her ire. As an Anatolian deity, she probably wouldn't appreciate it as much as the standard animal sacrifice in Mesopotamia would otherwise, as her connection to reproduction and pleasure are further separated than that of pleasure and love goddesses like Aphrodite, so it'd be an inappropriate sacrifice, as fertility and pleasure are not her spheres (but in later Greek antiquity childbirth is, which isn't usually associated with pleasure or semen).

In short, sacrifapping is a bad form of religious reverence for Hecatia and is inappropriate as her spheres of influence have little to do with sex, despite being the nurse of the gods and later being known as a virgin goddess of childbirth.
