I know there's got to be some Kendo practitioners on this board. I have a question for you fellows.

I'm going to start taking Kendo. What size shinai should I get for my first?

Male, aprox. 5'11" tall, arm length about 30" from shoulder to wrist.

Suggestions?

I've always wanted to but I didn't know you could in America. You must live in a city, huh?

I would imagine that most reasonably sized colleges would have a club; it isn't exactly obscure. Unless you live in Bumfuck, Idaho, chances are that you could find a place.

I live in a small town right next to a major University that has one.

Yeah, I live in a seacoast type place. Nothing like that here.
