You have to be severely mentally or physically disabled if you need a hecking rice cooker. It really is just a huge waste of money otherwise, the rice doesn't taste any better when using a rice cooker instead of a simple pot either.

Because it is cooked by EXPERT cooks. Trust me I sold rice cookers for several years and had to deal with a ton of people that wanted their money back because the rice did not taste or feel any better than usual.

I'm using one like this for years now. You can take out the pot if you want. The only downside is that it doesn't have this little basket where you can put in veggies or fish.

The main advantage of a rice cooker is to just press start and leave the kitchen without paying attention to it until it's done. It's really just convenience.

The main reason for me to get a good rice cooker is that it keeps it warm without making the rice go to shit after a few hours. Pic related is what I have, it was very expensive.

But, i eat a lot of rice, I usually cook 4-5 cups and just eat rice with my wife over 2-3 days and the rice is still good. Cooking rice each time I want to eat leftovers isn't going to be easy. It also comes out much better than doing it yourself.
