Why? Focus should basically be your default mode as a beginner and most teams do more damage on the youkai side aswell (Ghost team and to an extend magic team are exceptions).
You only really need to kill familiars on the nonspells during her main bossfight.

For me, using a gamepad is much more comfortable, it lets me use my dominant hand for movement, and mapping bomb and focus to the triggers helps prevent getting the control crossed up. I would guess that you can achieve a similar level of movement precision/speed to a keyboard if you have a really good d-pad or stick, since those seem to work perfectly well for lots of other high-precision, high-speed games.

Qanba Carbon as a base and a Seimitsu LS-62 with KOWAL LS.ST Short Throw Mod plates. Plus some Semistu buttons and a battop handle.

Mainly got the LS-62 because it has a light spring and has a octagonal gate, which I prefer. My diagonal movements have never been better, but doing quick repetitive concise left/right tapstream moments is kinda jank sometimes, but it's not bad if pay attention to my hand movements. I'm a little bit better at using a keyboard for that kind of movement, but it doesn't bother me enough to get mad at my inputs.

I was able to beat EoSD extra soon after I got it. Almost finished with StB now.

EoSD and DDC have the most random patterns.
In my opinion the hardest part on Kyouko's fight is her nonspells the spell can be routed. In Yoshika just practice her nonspells and the poison nail spell and you should be able to bombspam or timeout the rest. Stage 3 and 4 require some routes to get the most resources but Seiga and Futo are very static and shouldn't give you much problems after some practice.

Don't move move. Try to stay directly below her. Move only left or right when the string of bullets staring heading towards you. The more you move the harder it becomes.

The laser only activates right before it hits your last known location. So if you move a bit more before that happens it will miss. In other words, if you see the laser heading towards your left, move left when the laser is half-way before it reaches you.

Try to stay directly below moku throughout the card, it not a hard spellcard once you get a feel and the rhythm of it.

If I remember correctly, its about a minute for stages 1-5. Stages 6-8 can usually last around 2:00 to 2:30ish sometimes 3. If you die the timer will shorten. For stage 6 its around 1:30, for 7-8 it's about 2:00. First round of stage 9 basically last forever, second round is about 3:30ish, third about 2:30 to 3:00, and everything after is no more than 2:30.

Scope activates spirits (those flying bird looking things), It stops them from coming at you and can be reflected back to the opponent screen when you shoot them. It creates splash damage to anything near it when activated and shot at, so a group of them can clear a lot of bullets/boss attack and rack up a lot a points for canceling bosses and sending a free level 4 attacks. If you don't shot them when the spirits are activated after a certain time, it will shoot thee projectiles at you.

Try to only use level 2 attacks, never use level 4 attacks. Characters like Aya breaks the AI and is easy mode.

It was a lot easier than expected, as I've been doing really badly in the last few times I played PCB (although it's been a while and I was trying to clear on Marisa's shots) so it can't be that bad. I don't think I did quite as much damage during bombs as with Marisa, but then I was having trouble seeing the boss and only remembered that i could look at the bottom of the screen to find her at Yuyuko's second to last spell. It was real close though, I had a really bad Youmu fight and if I didn't get a 1up during the survival card at the very end, I would have game over'd.

Definitely use B. The longer duration bomb is better for time outs and you'll be spending most of your time moving focused anyway, meaning you just need to aim like you would with Marisa or Reimu B, be in front of the boss. While Sakuya B isn't the most damaging shot type in the game, Sakuya A is painfully toothless damagewise and I've seen it happen more than once that new players have to timeout a spell card of Ran, "Radiance- Princess Tenko Illusion" due to the poor damage output. God I'm so close to my TD 1cc, I can get to stage 5 deathless, usually fuck up once before the boss, and then just get bullshitted constantly on the boss. Probably just gonna bomb through everything on my next attempt.

I'm so fucking mad, I died right before the final battle in TD. I didn't have any bombs so I couldn't bomb my way out of it. I just needed one last life and I would've had my fucking 1cc. god fucking dammit.

Jumped from a six miss yesterday to a three miss today. Could have been a two miss if I didn't die to her sixth card. Very satisfied either way.
Deciding if I want to push for the NN or move on to something else. Would be nice getting back into lunatic.
