You don't get 4* star. You get 5*, +5 it and leave it there.

The best gear in the game comes from the jewel gacha & from Spectra battle chests. Those you upgrade to 6* & swim in power.

Save your green crystals (Lux) for rerolling gear. Getting a 6* with crappy extra effect sucks.

Level your girls, clear some story quests, do whatever you want at your pace. There's no difficulty in the game yet.

Outside of Amber:
>Morganite: almost essential if you don't have many Spectra and don't want to be the plaything of every Sapphire in a 5-mile radius, also brings some okayish damage and freeze capabilities of her own

>Obsidian: might be alright with good equipment? Nearly 100% counterattack rate and is the only unit ingame who gives petrify immunity to your team but constantly wastes turns spamming her shitty self-buff

That's basically it. Most of the other non-Spectra units are somewhere around the mediocre to average-but-still-usable range in PvP with a few uniquely terrible ones that stand out (hello Aventurine/Sphene/Aqua Aura).

I'd like to add Turquoise to that list.

She's not amazing, but her 3 turns barrier & her barrier piercing skill + the 30% crit has it's value. She can force a early AoE heal easily and at times combine priority with crit to massively damage the squishier members of the enemy team.

Of course outside that she's a sitter, but I find her more useful than Morganite that prevents me from focusing a single enemy by freezing it at the most inopportune times.

I used Topaz for the longest time and never felt like Pearl is a big problem. I realized her worth only after I started using Amber.
As someone who doesn't use Pearl, Lv40 Ambers can be pretty frustrating, since waiting for turn 3 to make her status immunity disappear can take a while.

I use her in my timerstall cancer team in the arena for the global +60% defense, status immunity, and facetanking capabilities and she works wonders there. Just try to keep her HP as low as possible compared to the rest of your team and equip as much +Counter equipment on her as possible so she can eat priority attacks to the face while slapping enemies to death with her tits. If you get dupes of her it's probably best to raise her equipment slots before her level due to this.

She's not that great in any other team composition though, and she's flat-out unusable unless you 6* her. She loves to spam her self-buff the moment it expires and the more aggressive your team is, the less it can afford her wasting turns like that.

I always wondered about the "Rate Up" myself you know. I couldn't find any numbers but I really doubt it's much. For example if you have a 1% chance to get a specific SSR but since it's newly released it has the "Rate Up" bonus, which gives you a 1,2% chance to get her. You know what I mean? They aren't lying or anything, they did in fact increased the rate but it's so small it barely does a difference. I may still be a bit sour that I got nothing with my 20 jewel gacha draw but it could be true. But congrats on your 2 new SSRs my dude, that's some insane luck.

For endgame maps, you will certainly appreciate the extra waveclear potential her SAW brings to the table, and the CD will matter little because you'll usually retreat her when her skill ends. Otherwise it's your call, her normal skill is useful by itself so it might be better to focus on more essential SAWs like Kayou first.

Congrats on the ensemble too, it's no mean feat to complete the set pieces for a dedicated magic team.

Aye, it took a lot of luck to get Estelle and Sylseth, and I'm really excited to try this out. I wasn't aware that you retreated Sylseth - I thought you kept her around because her normal skill was infinite duration. Advice for people with same problem:

Got stuck on battle loading screen due to corrupted cache (infamous "corrupted archive header" error in console log), clearing cache and so on didn't help.
What I did: opened Chrome directory in App Data, opened my profile, deleted everything except Bookmarks, Login Data and few other unrelated to cache dirs.
After this game re-loaded "archives" and I could proceed playing.

Resume: JewPri keeps data stored locally in some very non-standard ways and Chrome provides no built-in solution to clean these caches. But deleting stuff manually in profile dir helps.

That's high heresy, Apple is universally loved for her all-around stellar personality. Her "muhhaaaaa~" is so iconic that the FKG/NND Cafe collaboration featured a cocktail based on her nosebleed (made with tomato juice, if memory serves), in case you really loved that one Yumei scene in Akai Ito.

She's also personally responsible for introducing a lot of great characters to the game, as her popularity more or less started a trend of fruit-based knights having yuri overtones (especially with Quince, who loves cute girls as much as her, and Firethorn, her own childhood friend, who while not a commercial fruit is closely related to apples).

I still think it's amazing that they took Apple's flower meaning and, instead of going with the obvious Eris-esque troublemaker, turned it into a girl who really lives to find the most beautiful.
