I seriously hate spending 50m in a monster when I could spend only 5m if I knew my attacks were being effective. After all not all of us use 1-3 hit stagger weapons.

Since in my group there's already a GS user, I skipped it and went for hammers. It's been that way since I picked the habit back at the PS2 version, although I must say it's quite harsh to get some decent combos in, and when you can there's almost always someone who will end up flying from the charge or finisher. Only place I agree with it being 'cowardish' is in Fatalis, since it basically turns him into a big fireball spitting Kut-Ku.

Otherwise it's just a challenge to play a gunner since they take about 50-75% more damage than a blademaster and deal 25-50% less. Some might say that some of them are just piss-easy with gunners but then again those wyverns are already piss-easy with anything you throw at them. And yes, I'm disregarding Clusts Lv2.
