When did these happen?
>>/jp/thread/S16075422#p16236413

I know these already:
>Star Sapphire blows up Reimu and the front of the Hakurei shrine. With a fucking bomb.
Even though it's multiple bombs
>Marisa gets into a fight with a plant and loses.
With the tsuchinoko, right?
>That time there was an entire manga about Remilia building a rocket and invading the moon.
>Remilia adopts a bunch of hobgoblins and has a pet chupacabra
>Eirin Yagokoro, the great sage of the moon, lies to a bunch of fairies to cheat them out of a jug of booze.

In particular, where and when did these happen?:
>Cirno eats a bunch of poisonous mushrooms and has hallucinations all night
>Reimu and Marisa walk around the Forest of Magic purposely getting squirrels drunk to try finding a youkai solely out of curiosity
>Sanae spends like half a chapter of WaHH thinking that Pikachu is poisoning her friends
>The Three Fairies of Light fight a tiny puppy and lose.
>The Fairies of Light trick Reimu into walking across a river, but she doesn’t even notice because a bunch of fish jump up and make a bridge for her.

>> No.18837798

Touhou is primarily a series about ZUN getting really really drunk, having fever dreams about youkai and little girls, and writing about them the next day, hungover.

I recall this but don't remember the details.
>>Reimu and Marisa walk around the Forest of Magic purposely getting squirrels drunk to try finding a youkai solely out of curiosity
Forbidden scrollery, and it's any small rodents they can find. They're also not looking for a youkai, just an animal they've heard of.
>>Sanae spends like half a chapter of WaHH thinking that Pikachu is poisoning her friends
WaHH, some electric youkai Kasen protected cause Kasen a shit
>>The Three Fairies of Light fight a tiny puppy and lose.
Dunno, but they fight many things and lose
>>The Fairies of Light trick Reimu into walking across a river, but she doesn’t even notice because a bunch of fish jump up and make a bridge for her.
The first fairies manga with the different artist. Eastern and Little, I believe

It's in the fairies manga, where they get scared of a barking dog mistaking it for a youkai

No.
I want Reimu all to myself!
Ill be nice to her, and carry her like a princess everywhere and anywhere she wants to go!

This, I'm amazed by the amount of people that take this series seriously. Don't get me wrong, the games/music are great, but the setting/plot is...

It's a combination of silly and serious.

Humans are killed and eaten regularly in Gensokyo, but there's also a lot of drinking, silliness, and merrymaking.

>> No.18845217

>>18845042
humans being killed and eaten doesn't make something serious.

>> No.18845441

>>18845217
Yes, it does. Death, and the consequences of it, are serious matters. Hence your not seeing them in purely comedic media, at least not without lighthearted flair.

Not really, they're just facts of life and can be used as much for humor as anything else. Hell the fact that fairies don't stay dead is used in the fairy comic for the sake of humor.

>Hence your not seeing them in purely comedic media
I do. You might not.

>> No.18845759

>>18845714
Stop being retarded, I admitted they can be used for humor you moron. Can you read? You can do both. There's nothing comedic about Dolls in Pseudo Paradise but there's everything comedic in Kagerou's game of "find and eat the human". The underlying part of Touhou is that it's seriously fucked up--people are literally transported into it as food--but there is silliness as well. It's overwhelmingly silly, but that doesn't mean it isn't serious at all. And even outside of the seriousness of death you have stuff like the recent chapter of WaHH that was the prelude to TH16, in which Marisa very seriously chastises Reimu for not paying attention to the fact that there's serious shit going on. If you don't want recent examples, further back you have the fact that Yuyuko fucking killed herself, Mokou is a soul tortured with the guilt of killing an innocent man out of greed, Tenshi threatened to basically destroy the earth and honestly could have... And once more in recent events you have the thoroughly tragic backstory of Junko. There's nothing funny about what made her into a spirit of pure rage.

But there's something funny about Hecatia's shirt.

Both, idiot.

It's a video game about cute girls having nonviolent battles, you autist. Also what you said was that you don't see death of humans in purely comedic situations without it being lighthearted, which is untrue.

tenko is just garbage thrown out celestial palace window for being little shit and reimu and shionjoon already beaten her

Further: I like how you did not actually refute me. What you said is not a denial of what I said, just more support of my claim that it's both. It's objectively both, and of course you can't deny that but hey, who likes just admitting that they're wrong?
