I've never played a visual novel before, and i want to start with Chaos;head. Can someone provide a step by step guide to downloading and patching the game from scratch, ive never done this before.

Also you need to play around with Applelocale or change some unicode settings but I'll let another anon explain that. Or just google it its not hard.

Chaos;Head is not that different from your regular visual novel so there's really nothing to learn (reading game). The only thing that might be confusing are those green and red blips, but those aren't that much different from normal options. I think you just have a software problem. Fiddle around with the files and you'll get it to work eventually. It's not too complicated.
