18510098 No.18510098 [Reply] [Original]

I was told I might have luck here.
I'm looking for a game called Blue Port J, from the maker of Holdover. I'm looking for all their games, really, but I'm mostly interested in Blue Port for now.
I've been scouring the internet for download links but all I'm finding are dead ones.

>>18510098
Requests go in /r/. go there and/or use the archive and see if anyone uploaded it. (hint: they did, though I can't promise the links work.)

>> No.18511302

>>18510831
They didn't. That's why I'm even asking in the first place. Literally said all I found were dead links.

I typed the game name into the archive and downloaded the game before I replied. Stop being a lazy retard. You can even fucking google it and get to the links.

Are you fucking kidding me right now? I got the OP image from that very archived thread and I somehow missed a working link from it?
God damn everything. I deserve the title retard.
But thanks for the help.

>> No.18515370

>>18514941
Don't you see me playing it in the image? Or do you mean did I play it all the way through, in which case, no, I'm not interested in it. I might play it later though, even though the controls are so shitty. I think the only game of theirs I played was Sacrifice Girl and I don't think I bothered finishing it. I'm just not really into the theme.

Late to thread. The 3D ones looks interesting but all old links are already dead and even a search from typical blogs/doujinshis places give no solid replies.
Either it's not that popular, old or people are really getting more and more stingy on the internet.

>> No.18515950

>>18515901
It's a combination of all three. But there are two working links in the archives. One for each game.

Karin's Skin Diving Diary?
Basically a cheap mobile phone game. Which is appropriate because he's porting it to mobile.
You play as a girl who dives for fish and other things near the ocean floor. You don't have any control over the girl aside from telling her to dive or return to the surface. You're just clicking fish for points that are used to unlock a gallery.

I didn't know how much I wanted cute girls diving on deep spaces, is there other games like this or this is only FoxEye stuff?

>> No.18528826

>>18526603
As far as I know, FoxEye is the only one who does it. It's a plus that his games are actually pretty decent despite focusing on what is basically a universally hated game mechanic.

You could go 8chunk's /hgg/ as well.

Also, everyone should stop playing games for a while and start spreading the word to start obtaining 2hu fan games, hentai games & the rest of what gets released at Comiket and start sending it to redump.org and their romshepherd.com buddies.

I'm sick of the fact that no one cares about actual archival, instead opting to be parasitic leeches 24/7, posting their dumps on pathetic trackers and Cloud Storage cancer.

Why should anyone care about your sites? PEople who downloaded the game should have them and you can just ask around later if the doujin game sites do away.

People who attempt to ensure the actual archival of everything are irrelevant?

Lol, no they won't. If you ask people on ROMshepherd for an old scene release of some German game from 2002, they'll post it faster than any of your sites, because no one else handles actual archival.

Feel free to give me a repost of China Vortex by BakuretsuKoubou or Assault Armoroid Angelio, then. I've been waiting for 10 years for a repost, breh.

What is "actual archival"? There are already places that keep copies of doujin games and will reupload them if links go down. What's special about your sites? For that matter if they care so much about archiving games, why aren't they collecting the doujin games already?

>What's special about your sites?
The aim is preservation and not piracy. It is a community effort to make sure the content is never lost, for its own sake, not because some people might want to play it for free later. Pirates just care about the consumption of the content and any benefit they get for uploading content for other people to consume.

Sounds pretentious and will probably just end up with them trying to hoard all games to themselves while reporting other sites' links.

You're an idiot. Feel free to reupload the entire Comiket 73 catalog.

Don't have it? Exactly; you're all the lazy hoarders who only posted it over WinNY & Share & gave it to no one else.

Because everyone sees water as the number-one worst mechanic in any video game ever. It's even worse if there's diving.

>> No.18564808 [DELETED]

>>18564714
I don't mean swimming as a necessary level or something, but lots of game have water that just instantly kills you or something if you hit it instead of being able to at least float around, if they don't just prevent you from going in it. Be it simple RPG games where you could swim the same way you go as in pokemon or 3D games where you could just splash in a pool.

Also NPCs who move at their own pace that you have to interact with are the number one worst mechanic. Be it protecting a person or vehicle, or having to keep up with a person who walks faster than you but is slower than you run. The only time they're good is when they're fighting and are stronger than you.

Monster Hunter Tri was pretty popular back in the day.

Thank god the escort mission wasn't underwater and was easy as pie but I think it meets all the criteria from that old underwater escort mission image with health bars and air meters and shit. In fact Monster Hunter Tri had even more bars/gauges than that.
