You may want to reread that then, since thats not at all how it was. That CoLA chapter was about Marisa not wanting too talk about Okina because thats what Okina wanted. She was never gushing over anything.
Also alot of points that >>18263972 made are not proof of anything. I wouldnt say anything is nearly confirmed with how flimsy these are, especially with how ZUN writes.

Nothing really implies shes's impressed, she's met powerful beings like Okina before. The chapter is more about Marisa not wanting too talk about Okina so the others are not impressed since showing off was the whole point of Okina starting the incident.
The relationship between Okina and Marisa is going to be be more of an ongoing thing where Okina keeps trying too win Marisa over and keeps being rejected. Nothing gives the impression itll be anything more than that.

Its natural that right after the incident she would still be a bit wary of the possibility. Nowhere does it ever imply she does it regularly. Kourin's theory that Okina won her over (and the rest of his theory's for that matter) where proven false when she explained it. Okina wanted people to talk about her and Marisa didnt want to give her the satisfaction because it means she ultimately accomplished her goal with the incident. Plus as a note of Kourin's character, its normal for him to come up with assumptions based on nothing.

Okina's desire too show off is something I quite like. Personally I prefer the scenerio's that dont have super high stakes and are just the characters essentially waffling around. Junko's crazy shenanigans were entertaining sure but I think Remilia starting the Scarlet Mist incident because she couldnt be bothered to use an umbrella when outside during the day or Eiki scolding everyone for their sins is the side of Touhou I like most.
Touhou is at its best when its absurd and introducing characters who are themselves absurd is great in my opinion and I think Okina fits this perfectly.

2. To recruit successors to Satono and Mai
3. To check if Gensokyo's security system (the protagonists) is working properly
4. To scare off any groups that are seeking to control Gensokyo
